After all this time, my big Fic finally got a review. Two years of work writing it, with almost three years of editing and fine tuning. I poured everything I am into this story. I gave it all the love I have for the fandom's musicians, the characters I love, and the fandom itself.
It's been a busy week. The first draft of the next Stars chapter is done, I got dragged off to the Oregon ComicCon over the weekend, I finished up a tutorial on starting VO on the cheap for SFS, burned through an assignment for my CS course, and also worked full-time--Yay me. All the while I managed to get in touch with some old gaming buddies of mine, and showed them some of the music I've been working on.
Well, Between Bassdrops and Bowstrings got a Second Opinion. It wasn't great, but it wasn't bad. It was filled to the brim with potential, and the reviewer made some astounding points. They were polite, concise, and -- best of all -- they offered help.
But for real, I got a new story in the pipe. Gonna be somewhat of a return to form for me, in some ways, so some of you older followers might appreciate it a little bit more (and this also means that I expect it to bomb). Should be out in a few days. After two months of naught, that should feel like nothing.

Just a quick shout out to everyone who is waiting for the next chapter of "Between Day and Night"! The next two chapters are basically plotted and done and nothing in the current episode did anything to change them. Rather, I am a prophet and truthsayer and you should worship me and send me money for calling out something in the show YET AGAIN! Soon, even the wonderous Jim F*cking Sterling, son, (thank god for him) will bow before me.
Seeing how I detailed my thought process for my OC Autumn Galerina three years ago and how I am yet again huffed up on painkillers and I kinda want to have a more positive Blog-wall for the new year, I think it is time to explain how I developed Diamond Shadow and ultimately, how her relationship with Autumn "works".
A while back, someone made a fair point. In Bassdrops and Bowstrings, why is it that Octavia is automatically skilled with the Cello? And, beyond that, why is Vinyl not so awesome, right at first? After explaining it to the person in question, they made a comment that I should explain these things a little better in a blog post, as to explain my headcanon on these topics; namely, my headcanons on Cutie Marks and their relation to Destiny.
So, I just finish reediting the first 6 chapter of The Lost Siren and rereading the comments. To my surprise, I found more than just grammar mistakes, but missing sentence and paragraph from the story itself. So I fix them the best I could and well update them before releasing the next chapter. After that and reading the comments, a couple of question came to mind, well three at most.
... Have you ever wondered what it was like for an author when they first started writing fanfiction for something? Well... it sorta starts out with them writing random drafts and scenes, tying to understand and get into the character's personalities. Well... at least that's how it starts for me.
Well, I haven't posted something in, well... A while, so I thought, why not? So here we go!
A Rift Between Worlds is still going to be on break, and as some of you might've figured out, it's still going to be a while, since I'm letting things catch up a bit.
This was not Fluttershy's best idea. Now stealing something from Crystal Prep was usually hard. They had been on edge after the whole night sky exploded in hellfire last Fall Formal. Sure they were hyper paranoid monster hunters anyway, but having their theories that had been hypothesized for a few hundred years paying off in one blast really made them notice the rivalry between the schools. But the schools weren't always segregated into Monsters at CHS and Hunters at Crystal Prep. Fluttershy
