So this was a fun episode. I have some things to say.
Spoilers. Of course. And still no pictures. That ish's hard, yo.
In no particular order,
Now we know for sure that Pinkie is at least a twin. Judging by them all being around the same size in the flashback last time, it's even more likely that they're quadruplets. What an interesting thing for Pinkie Pie to be and never bring up. Maybe it's just really common for ponies (or maybe just for earth ponies?).
Okay, seriously, am I the only person even remotely bothered by the fact that they might be cousins? I mean, they hinted at it quite strongly in the show itself, but that only makes me wonder what went through the heads of the creative team, and whoever was in charge of inspecting the episode. The fact that the two families may already be related was even mentioned earlier on. Seriously, what even the heck?
I purchased some new audio equipment (specifically Roland CS-10EM Binaural Microphones/Earphones and a Zoom H4n Handy Recorder) and decided to test them out on a new episode of Pony Palaver, taking a look at the newest pony episode Hearthbreakers, centered
HAPPY HEARTH'S WARMING EVERY...!:D
Wait a minute...It isn't the winter holiday season yet! It's October! Halloween and Nightmare Night is next weekend! What's going on Hasbro?!
In this week's episode of MLP, Applejack and her family decide to celebrate Hearth's Warming Eve with Pinkie Pie and her family. But things don't go quite as expected when the two families' traditions don't meet up...
It's SPOOKY how close they got to my Inkie/Marble and Blinkie/Limestone headcanons.
This episode isn't going to kill the names the fandom's engraved in me. Sure, I'll relent for Bulk Biceps and CONDITIONALLY for Sweetie Drops, but unless I'm writing something that needs them and tethers itself to canon, it's Inkie, Blinkie, and Clyde and Sue. And Maud. Oh, and Colgate trumps Minuette.
Hearth's Warming Eve has come and gone. It was lonely, but less horrible than I expected. Decorating the tree felt rather pointless this year and I just rushed through it. Listening to "A Pony Kind of Christmas" while I decorated it was painful and, in hindsight, I wish I'd rather not done it. I left out "Days Gone By" this year, because it would have been too much.
Spoiler bells, spoiler bells, spoilers go away!
It's another winter holiday episode before a fall episode. What is up with time in Equestria? Or perhaps airing times. The mid-season hiatus knocked a few things on, and other things off: perfect timing for the 5th anniversary, but the seasonal stuff got whacked pretty hard. Not as hard as the stinger in Friendship Games, though.
Rarity Investigates: A fun, noiresque episode starring Best Pony. The Wonderbolts continue to be presented in a less than ideal light, but most of that is due to Pony Gilderoy Lockhart. 4/5 bottles of cologne.
Made In Manehattan: Coco Pommel! A tragic end to AJ's hat! An interesting moral! Theater Troupe Hipster Ponies! RARIJACK UNDERTONES OUT THE WAZOO! 5/5 tacky hat stands.
