meh episode: no headcanon is safe

It's so weird to think that my older stories are now totally invalid but I guess they are now, rip

The way the pie family is written as a whole kinda rubs me the wrong way too, which makes it even worse, I mean, I thought they were supposed to be a bit less conservative and standoffish since Pinkie Pie introduced them to the concept of fun when she got her cutie mark

and instead they all seem pretty miserable

Maud Pie is a thrall, Marble Pie is cripplingly shy, Limestone Pie is a cunt, and the elder Pies talk and speak in a way that nothing else in canon to this point has had them speaking that is completely out of tune with the rest of the theme of the rock farm, because it's a conservative-ass farm, not a fucking Renaissance fair

but at least a. the rock farm is confirmed actually a mine and b. Marble and Pinkie are confirmed twins

also the christmas episode aired before the halloween episode, gg hasbro

I dunno, I enjoyed this episode. Though it was yet another case of Applejack needing to relearn a lesson she already learned (wasn't this exactly what Apple Family Reunion was about?)
