...OKAY. A big one...
Okay. A complete lack of... motivation or whatever even If I have the whole story roughly written, 120,000 words of pure notes, yadda yadda... and I need to rewrite this shiz with my current skillz anyway.
I find myself in an interesting situation that I can only describe as a multilevel backlog. The first one, the new Netflix content, will last me until the end of November. The one after that, all the Tell Your Tale shorts and comics that will accrue in that time, will see me through mid-January. And all the stuff I already had planned? December of next year.
Let’s begin.
As I promised on Thursday, this week we’re beginning a deep dive into the works of fan animator Minty Root, starting with their most recent creation and bouncing around from there.
And so my quest begins anew. Let's get to it... after a few thoughts on the Season 5 finale, since I saw the tail end of it prior to the premiere.
At this point, we’re getting into genuine first reactions on my part. Between other demands on my time and insufficient engagement, I just haven’t been binging G5. Honestly, I have a hard time just sitting and watching my entertainment anymore. Plus, there’s something to be said for a weekly release schedule giving the fandom time to digest each episode.
In any case, let’s take a look.

This week, we have something special, and not just because I only have a few months until I catch up with the comics. At the last Bronycon, the voice cast read a fan script, and officially, legally speaking, it couldn’t be recorded. But officially, legally speaking, this whole website shouldn’t exist…
There’s only so much that can go into a story, especially one with as many characters as 16 has. So I’m opening the floor to asking these characters questions. Post your reply with any questions you have and Lulu Luck will be happy to answer them (I’ll be editing this blog to add those questions). I’ll be posting the other characters in the coming weeks (up through Snowcatcher; the rest will come after their chapters are posted).

Hello, Chaps and Chapettes,
Welcome to another edition of “Scaramouche gripes about a part of his life rather than gives us a healthy dose of advice. Why do we even follow this again?” I’m just kidding.
Nobody’s following this. :P
It’s another clash of Hasbro’s titans, and I’m throwing a third into the mix. (Given the upcoming D&D crossover set, it’s only appropriate.) This time, we change up the setting; it’s ponies on Cybertron.
Alright, that's another one down. 
Next I'm gonna start work on Episode 04. We're gonna start learning more about the past of our queen and perhaps that will give us some context on things. 
So. When I put this on the schedule, I thought it would just be a single special, like Winter Wishday. I wasn’t expecting Make Your Mark Season 2 to come with it. As such, it’s looking like a G5 summer. Let’s get this party started.
My adherence to the Old Ways continues (by which I mean treating a Netflix content dump like the episodes are coming out weekly.) Let’s see what new wonders and horrors, if any, await.
I haven’t written one of these blog posts in a while, but I feel like I learned today what true friendship is.
I might be wrong, but it suddenly dawned on me that I felt like I’d been a legitimate friend to someone I met, for the first time since I could remember.
That might sound a little pretentious, “look at me, I’m true friends with this person I met, L for you,” but it legitimately felt good, and I’d fucking do it again, to quote that line.

Huh. You’d think the episodes about stealing cutie marks would’ve covered Starlight’s secrets. Let’s see what else we can pin on Old Equestria’s Handicapper General. Maybe it’s time travel!
We return to the comics, where a conveniently timed one-shot helps me schedule the five-issue Milkyway storyline. Let’s see just what how we're closing out 2023.
Next on the docket is the back half of The Unicorn of Odd. Let’s see how much of the original story makes it out unscathed from under the G4 cast’s critical eyes.
