Twilight Sparkle knows they’re lucky, and she’s not stupid. All her human counterpart wants is to try and understand how the magic works. But she’s in love, and as logical as she tries to be, she can’t handle a human version of herself being around her girlfriend Sunset all of the times she can’t be.

Sunset has a crush on Twilight. The problem is, she seems to have a type: people who are incredibly powerful, have some measure of authority and power in their positions, and still have very sweet personalities.

And Twilight is far more powerful and popular than Flash ever was.

But it's okay. It's not like Twilight likes her back, right? Right.

After the Battle of the Bands, Sunset Shimmer struggles to find middle ground between the person she wants to be and the person others at school expect her to be. The Friendship Games are over, and the new Twilight has officially joined the group. Sunset and her friends have helped to make Twilight's transition to CHS smoother: Inviting her to band practices, arranging for her to have a lab just like at her old school, and teaching her about the foreign concept of friendship.

Lately, Twilight has been asking Sunset for assistance with some of her experiments. Sunset is more than happy to oblige her new friend, but starts to notice Twilight paying more attention to her than anyone else in their circle.

Were these just experiments… or were they for something else entirely?
