One of the interesting things about this story is that instead of being set on modern-day Earth, it’s set a good ways in the past. That’s something you rarely see. Also, if the title doesn’t make it obvious, it’s set in the Middle East.
I can think of only one other story where a pony meets Jesus, and that one doesn’t take this approach.
If it's the story I'm thinking of, it also had a sequel with a different pony and is therefore actually two stories.

This fic made me laugh. It reminds me a bit of a fic I wrote that revolved heavily on Jewish lore... I ended up removing it because it got ratio'd into oblivion...
I remember reading a story about Fluttershy talking to Jesus shortly before He was crucified.
I also remember a story about the Tree Of Forbidden Fruit + serpent appearing in Equestria.

That’s a shame; I personally love reading things that are less mainstream. Sadly, something controversial (religious, political, sexual, whatever) often does attract a fair bit of negative attention. I don’t know of a good solution for that, if there even is one. I suppose on FimFic you can turn off ratings at least.
