Signal Boost β Scampy's SunFlower Shipping Contest! · 10:27pm Mar 9th, 2021
Hey everyone!
So, if you haven't heard already, my incredible GF has organized a SunFlower shipping contest. Yours truly is one of the judges, along with a few of our other mutual friends. The contest runs through April 10th, which is plenty of time to give it a shot! Check Scampy's blog for the full details, as well as the contest submission group.
Before I mention the prizes, it's imperative to note that all of the prize money has been pooled separately from the funds I collected and sent to Scampy a few weeks ago. Not one penny that was donated by the community is involved in this. In the name of absolute transparency, the list of prize pool donors (which includes a separate gift from me) can be found on the contest blog.
With that aside, here's what's up for grabs!
Prizes
1st Place: $150
2nd Place: $100
3rd Place: $50
4th Place: $40
5th Place: $25
Additionally, there are six separate $5 judges' awards available. A story can both place and win a judge prize, but no story can win more than one judge prize. You can find more details about these separate prizes on the blog but, suffice to say, they are a fun little bonus all on their own.
Finally, in addition to the cash prizes, for each entry submitted into the contest, Lord Camembert will be donating $10 to one of the following LGBT charities of your choice:
Even if you don't win, participation in this contest guarantees money will be sent on your behalf to a good cause! All the more reason to give it a try. And if you're not a writer, feel free to spread the word instead, on your own blog, groups, Discord, etc. We'd like to see as many entries as possible.
Best of luck to those who participate, and thanks for reading!
Dang. I don't know enough about wallflower to think I could do a good story with her, but that last part there makes me wanna try. Hmmmm. I'll have to think on this.

The contest announcement contains an FAQ that includes a bit on Wally's characterization, as well as a list of stories that are good examples of writing her well. Those might be helpful \o/
You know what's coming, heh.
Here's to the contest overall!
You have a girlfriend? Thatβs kinda gay. π€
I think I can write something for this, if I have time.
