New Story: Collaboration With Scampy — "Love Me Like You" · 9:27pm Feb 14th, 2023

So, while my beautiful and amazing girlfriend and I have written a couple of silly collab stories together last year, for the past four months, we've been working on a much more serious project.

I think one of the hardest things in life to learn—one that I still struggle with, to be honest—is learning to not only love yourself, but to accept that someone can really love you. Truly love you, on the good days just as much as the bad, whether or not you feel deserving of it. For me personally, having gone through the worst year of my life in 2022—for reasons that I am still struggling to put into a story—it's really difficult to accept that someone loves me when I feel like more of a burden than a benefit. Trauma compounds that, in ways I both now understand, and never will in the same way as my girlfriend.

And that's what brings us to today's story, released on Valentine's Day, about someone who loves another beyond words, but feels she's not deserving of the same:

TLove Me Like You
Despite an awful past, Wallflower loves her life with Sunset and has for many years. Then she finds a secret Sunset's been hiding. Now Wallflower is determined to stop Sunset from making the biggest mistake of her life—asking Wallflower to marry her.

This is a heavy story, both in terms of wordcount and subject matter. Clocking in at around 40,000 words (including an optional chapter that will be published later), it is fully finished, pre-read, and edited. We will be publishing a new chapter every day until the story is complete, so no need to worry about it languishing in your library. And if you end up really enjoying it, you won't have to wait too long on any cliffhangers. :raritywink:

Whereas Accidentally In Yeet is almost entirely a slapstick comedy we dreamed up over the course of a road trip, and Let Wallflower Say F*ck is a mix of silly moments and tough realizations that we worked on in sporadic bursts, Love Me Like You has been our main focus in our spare time since early November. Like many good stories, it has evolved and morphed over time from the nebulous, sometimes silly ideas and scenes that inspired it, into something much deeper and more concrete. Short of perhaps The Sum Of Her (NSFW) and Downfall, I would say it's my best work. Scampy is extremely proud of it, as she should be, because it's some of her best work as well.

Thanks to two of our very awesome and cool friends for editing and pre-reading this story, as well as to our lovely friend, Xandra, who once again made the beautiful coverart. If nothing else, I hope y'all appreciate that coverart. IMO, it's gorgeous.

Thanks in advance if you decide to give it a read! As always, comments are appreciated. Hope everyone is doing well, and has a wonderful Valentine's Day if that's something you celebrate.

We did it! It took fucking forever but we actually finished this story holy shit that's so cool??

For real though, everything Gadot said here is spot-on. This is easily my favorite story I've written, and likely the highest quality too. Working on this was delightful, and I hope y'all enjoy it as much as we enjoyed writing it \o/
