    Pinkie Pie's family abusive?

This is a popular head cannon in some circles. Honestly I just don't see it.

If anything, given the send off they give Pinkie, I think they apprenticed her off so she could live out her role early because they were so excited for her.

The Stars Will Aid In Her Escape?

So I have been thinking about this and about how Luna escaped after a thousand years, and I have to conclude that it was most likely a celestial event (meaning the movement of various planets in the Equestrian solar system) that is actually responsible for setting Luna free. We actually see several stars apparently converging behind the moon. But what if they were planets?

So apparently I am doing story reviews now!

Truth is I've wanted to do something with this blog for a while now, and here it is! My first (but hopefully not last) list of recommended readings. Keep in mind that I am totally new to this and may hardly be the best source for fictions on this site. Also nearly all of these are incomplete so I can't say how they will turn out later on. We do not promise 100% satisfaction guaranteed here okay?

    Cozy Glow From Klugetown?

So what kind of place in Equestria would produce someone like Cozy? There are twisted and ruthless ponies but very few of them utilize schemes quite like Cozy Glow. Her imprisoning of others is quite unique, only seen with criminals and areas outside of Equestria, so where would she develop such a ruse?

    Cozy Glow From Equestria?

Okay so why does Cozy Glow act so naive? We've seen Equestrian and even pony villains use bullying and intimidation, under the Princess of Friendships nose none the less. If she is a power hungry filly who's good at strategy, why play the part of a cute ignorant filly? Why bother with such a charade, especially if she could garner more respect as the student who knows more about friendship than

Glow to the Future

Do you like Cozy Glow? Occasional looks at the mind of a Twilight with hidden character as opposed to being a Celestia knockoff? Do like fantastic futuristic worlds with excellent character building and a magic based AI computational device? Then this is the place for you! Some of the better characterizations of Twilight and Cozy Glow that I've seen on this site. Not to mention a engaging plot and enticing lore and characters, this is one story you will want to keep your eyes on!

Incomplete as of this date.

Warning contains as of right now:
subtle mind magic emotional manipulation, injures, conflict, drama, a emotional cast, and Cozy Glow.

A hilarious narration through letters. Written by a very dry humored and witty Anonymous to Celestia of a completely bonkers Twilight and her cast of friends as they both tackle and make adventures and issues beyond rhyme or reason, with a cast of supporting characters and behaviors that range from strange and quirky, to down right heart warming. If rude and questionable (not to mention downright silly) humor, with occasional feels, are your thing, then this is the place for you!

Incomplete as of this date

Warning:
Contains rude and sometimes grotesque humor. Among the things mentioned are bodily humor and horror, gore, sex, drugs, suicidal thoughts, existential crises, bullying, psychological manipulation, questionable ethics and decisions, and all manner of magic and unnatural tampering with the laws of reality and life, as well as humor at the expense of My Little Pony characters. Do not read if any of the above offends you.

And lastly it's companion piece.

This one is a special favorite of mine. I usually don't like Celestia, but this story features her at her best as she responds to the antics of one very satirized and out of control Twilight, and her very cheeky writing assistant Anonymous. If you like a Celestia that's warm, funny, and knows how to roll with a joke, than this one's for you!

Warning:
Potential for language and rude humor. Also as it is a companion piece so everything I mention in regards to that fic previously still applies. Therefore; if you do not like the idea of: rude and sometimes grotesque humor, bodily humor, and bodily horror, gore, sex, drugs, suicidal thoughts, existential crises, bullying, psychological manipulation, questionable ethics and decisions, and all manner of magic, and unnatural tampering with the laws of reality and life, as well as humor at the expense of My Little Pony characters, do not read.

Complete as of this date.

I can certainly say you have some experience with reviews for stories. I take it all you've written here is not the description form the author themselves, but rather your take on it?

5242066
Yeah. These are all my own thoughts regarding these stories. Figured it was high time I put something out there> Hopefully I can build up my courage for when I actually get around to writing something.

5242067
Something you wrote earlier has me curious.

Probably no less than the second best characterization of Twilight on this site post Season 9, and the second or third best characterization of Cozy Glow in writing.

Okay. Who is the first best depiction of Twilight? Same question for Cozy glow. Whoever they are, I may have to check 'em out.

5242069
I proberbly should have been more specific yeah. As for Cozy Glow here are the two I am thinking about. Their's a comedy story that balances her character very well or at least the persona she gives off in Season 8, but it's comedy and a crossover which is why I didn't mention it here. The Tirek Who Tolerated Me by Kotatsu Neko

There's another story Cozy Chronicles by 5u0myn0n4 that captures certain moments of how she acts and the type of plans I believe she would enact, that I think nails her character in those specific regards. The reason I didn't mention it here is because that's the best thing that it does. Other than that their are a lot more feels to Cozy's character than I would generally imagine her to posses. Also there's a lot a lot of other stuff that's going on. I don't think most of the other villains are in character, her backstory is kind of out their, and their are a lot of weird villain feels.

As for Twilight's stories there are a few that are interesting and it's hard to say if any are actually better than the other, especially since she is such a complex character. But I will hunt down a few and hopefully get back to you.

5242083
Thanks for the update. Look forward to more.

5242088
Hopefully. I will try to link you those stories about Twilight ahead of time if I bump into them. But no promises.

5242088
Two Words by Piccolo Sky is kind of interesting. It doesn't have a happy ending and the test used is pretty dubious, but it shows that Twilight still wants to help the team three/legion of doom, and has been holding chances for parole in hopes that they will change their ways. I feel it gives the character too much credit, but it is nice to see Twilight struggling with the morality of her choices, and making a effort in the hope that the villains will somehow change (although how she expects them to do that when they are basically only ever allowed a few moments out of stone, with no real guidance on what they are supposed to do, is anyone's guess).

5242101
Again, thanks for the update. Based on the premise you described, I can guess how it has a dark ending, but that does not detract from the possibility of a rich an engauging story. I should know since I'm writing a story like that myself, but it will have a happier ending.

5242103
There is one story like this one with a happier ending (for a given definition of happy) but its Twilight I consider to be fairly OC, and honestly in someways meaner, although in the end it does work (at least for most of them).

5242105
lol. I've kept a tab open on this page beyond an hour. I just reload it whenever I see a new message pop up on my yahoo mail tab. At this point it's more like we're having a conversation instead of just commenting on your base subject. That's what happens in conversations, too. If they go on long enough, it gets difficult to remember how it started.

5242107
I mean I tend to ramble if I can talk to someone and they appear interested in what I have to say. Both on and offline. It's a habit I need to learn how to control or I am proberbly going to scare everyone I know off.:twilightsheepish:

5242111
Ramble? Perhaps, but in no way do I mind right now. Instead, I'm rather delighted. It's something to do while locked in quarantine. Also, the subject matter is interesting.

While waiting for your response, I am working on chapter 25 of "The Shadow Queen" by editing it one last time before posting it in a new days.

5242112
Glad to hear it. Actually if you wouldn't mind, what time is it where you are right now?

5242114
10:43 PM, Pacific Standard Time. I'm in Southern California, USA. I'll be posting another chapter at midnight.

5242115
Okay cool. It's 12:44 where I am at, but I don't have work tomorrow, so that's nice.

5242118

but I don't have work tomorrow, so that's nice.

This is becoming a more and more common story of late. This is the most unique crisis I have ever lived through since the 1994 Northridge Earthquake. That damaged that caused wasn't global like this. I can actually imagine grandkids several generations later asking what this time period was like, if they bother to care.

5242119

This is becoming a more and more common story of late. This is the most unique crisis I have ever lived through since the 1994 Northridge Earthquake.

Certainly the most unique one I've ever experienced that's for sure.

That damaged that caused wasn't global like this.

I am afraid I am not familiar with that one. How widespread was it?

I can actually imagine grandkids several generations later asking what this time period was like, if they bother to care.

Its very hard to get people of any era interested in history that's for sure.

5242122

How widespread was it?

The details of this question is something I'm not sure, and frankly, I don't want to know because I don't want to cave into the fear game. It is certainly more widespread than the earthquake was, and likely it will continue to spread for a while. However, the quarantine should be an effective strategy it practiced diligently. Those who have the virus will either die or recover and remain immune for at least 2 years, therefore reduce the odds of passing it on again. Those who don't have it won't catch it because they don't get exposed in the first place and those who have it recover from it and stop being contagious. The system can work with diligence.

On the bright side, I do see how this can spark a catalyst for positive change. This is an opportunity for change, and that offers a possibility for it to be for the better.

5242124

Maybe, but given some of the things I've heard, I am not terribly excited for the future.

I was actually talking about the earthquake though.

5242127
Oh, the earthquake? At this point I forget how strong it was exactly, let alone how far it spread. I lived in Simi Vally at the time. I slept through most of it until I woke up with shattered safety glass around me. It struck me while I was asleep, but I remained asleep through most of it.

The Aftershocks though . . . I was awake for that. Many of the windows around me kept rattling. Mom left to get old focus out of a Nursing Home where she worked. I remember a grocery store giving away food for free to a long line. The pungent scent of alcohol filled the building due to all the shattered beer and wine glass bottles in there. I stayed at a school gym for a week with almost 1k other people in there. Those were some interesting times.

5242128
Fair enough. We have had a couple of tremors around here. Not sure how big they've been over the years as compared to the rest of the nation.

5242132
stats like that can likely be looked up online

5242133
I'll have to do that sometime.

5242135
More power to you, for knowledge is power. In the information age, there is a lot of "power" to spread around.

5242137
If you do read Cozy Chronicles by 5u0myn0n4 and find you like it then one that's a bit less wild and that I have been enjoying lately is The Night Janitor by Knox Locke. It is a bit slower than any other story I mentioned but I do think It does a good job of nailing both her patience and determination. It follows the story of a janitor who's was friends with her and tries to cope with the loss. While there are some very forgiving moments on the part of the cast, I trust that won't turn you off too much.

5244800
okay. thank you for sharing. I may take a look at that later. In the meantime, I assume you are enjoying the variety of sampling all kinds of stories?

By the way, I finished "The Shadow Queen" on the google document. You are able to read/correct it all the way to the end, if you like.

5244913

I assume you are enjoying the variety of sampling all kinds of stories?

I mean I usually try.

By the way, I finished "The Shadow Queen" on the google document. You are able to read/correct it all the way to the end, if you like.

Good to know. I'll try to get on that, although I can't make any promises as to when I'll be able to get around to it.

5242088
Product of Friendship by AzuraKeres doesn't really focus on Twilight, but what little characterization of her that exists is pretty good so far. It's also good if you enjoy those types of stories where the "hero's" orphan somebody, and they have to deal with the fallout. Only three chapters so far, but I am hoping for good things.

5248894
that one I read the first chapter on, but didnt realize I forgot to save it on tracking. Also, this writer is one of my other editors of my story.

5248971

Also, this writer is one of my other editors of my story.

Cool, I don't think I noticed that.

5249061
I guess you forgot about this, but Azure got mentioned as one of the players in the virtual game "Bullet Hell" preceiely for that reason, because he was another editor.

5249066
Ah okay. I guess I wasn't really thinking of the names, and putting the two together.

This blog was made 16 weeks ago, so I think an update is in order. What are you doing these days?

5331561
I may or may not get around to updating this for a while. Things may get hectic around here soon and I don't know how much time I will have to dedicate to this site. However if your interested in examining more stories about Cozy might I suggest Nothing But The Tooth by AlwaysDressesInStyle and Absentee Father of Monsters by Rambling Writer?
