Hey folks. Sorry for not blogging for a while. I stopped because it was an extra stress, and I figured you guys wanted me to focus my efforts on writing.
Speaking of, I need to ask a small favour. Would it be okay if I delay the next chapter’s release by a few days? I normally wouldn’t ask, but my backlog is getting low and I haven’t been able to do much writing this month.
This last week in particular has been awful. At one point, my computer completely died. This is the computer I use to write with using voice dictation. And it wasn’t a simple crash, either. The motherboard failed, and decided not to go quietly into that good night. It took the CPU and half of the ram with it. The end result was the loss of nearly an entire week while waiting for the techs to figure out which parts had broken, and then a $600 hole blown in my budget.
I’m back up and running now, but that really cost me a lot of work.
Unfortunately, the bad news didn’t stop there. My grandmother passed away last weekend, and it’s been really hard on my state of mind. We were always pretty close, and she put in a lot of work helping raise me when I was little. Without the antidepressants and a loving wife, I would probably be an absolute and utter wreck.
So, yeah, I really hate to ask this, especially since I’m set up monthly on Patreon. But if it’s generally okay with folks here, I could really use a few extra days to get some writing done and catch up on things. April’s chapter should go up as normal on April 30th.

Hey man, i am sorry to hear about your losses. Take as much time as you need to get caught up on what you need to. Horse words can always wait a few days. It's better to take a break every now and then, than to overwork and get stressed out. I would rather wait an extra month for a chapter to come out than to have you stress out over it and cause more problems.
Hope you have a better time of it and feel free to talk to us about any of this if you need to.

You have my condolences, it's never easy losing family.
In my opinion, I will always say to take your time with writing.
I don't mind waiting, especially if it means quality over quantity.
So, keep up the great work, I will be patiently waiting for the next exciting chapter of RoA.
Those are some very good reasons to take a break! Don't worry about needing a few extra days.
I go through the fics I'm following every once in a while as a sort of Spring Cleaning. Any fic that hasn't updated in 6 months, I consider whether it's worth waiting on. Any that haven't updated in a year I almost always dump.
Straight-up honest here: if you didn't update for 3 years but were still logging on, I'd still be waiting patiently. This story is one of those wonderful few that gripped my undevided attention from chapter one, and that grip has only grown tighter with each chapter.
My condolences on your loss. I'm constantly amazed by your determination to keep writing despite the astronomical challenges you keep facing. Take as long as you need; your endlessly devoted fans will be waiting patiently. After all, you've earned us.
Of course it's alright. Real life takes priority, and waiting an extra few days for a chapter is nothing.
Of course it is all right. Family and life always should come first. I would wait an extra month if it meant you could get your life back on track, and then have time to write.

I know it doesn't mean much, but sending kind thoughts your way nonetheless.
I don't tend to comment much, but for sure, take as much time as you need, and Rip PC, multi-hundred dollar parts failing is not very fun.
I know it may not be much, but I'll send my (non-ironic) thoughts and prayers your way, losing someone close to you is hard, I remember losing someone who was much more of a grandfather than either of my paternal ones will ever be, dimentia can go to tarturus for all I care.
