Perhaps I should have put a question mark instead. Everything ends, but it's likely I won't be able to stay away for that long. Look at it this way -- at least it will be finished, and not left to wither away. There is also a third book (sort of), set in the show's future (the S1/S2 show, anyway). Same universe, mostly different characters, except for Luna and Celestia (quite handy having immortals!).

Oh, it certainly exists -- I finished it about three years ago, and it's been sitting in my drafts folder since then. Needs an editing pass. I didn't dare start it until Final was finished; too much of a distraction.

No, that's not it, I'm afraid. That's on the cards for the future, though. So... who else do we know who's an Alicorn and is around in S1/S2?

I have, yes. If nothing else, I want a physical thing I can put on the shelf (and give to all those people who knew I was writing and never once asked to see it). I'll make a formal post to that effect in the new year. It won't be as fancy as the Past Sins or FoE printings!

I hope book 3 is still on tap. I have a revolving reminder setup to keep coming back to check. Too many good series are suddenly ending these days and that makes me nervous.

Yeah, Madness is my third book in this universe. I needed to jump away from Wasp/Final for a while (and multitasking stories isn't something I can manage at the best of times).

Realistically, you were never going to get a direct book 3 with Luna and Celestia as main characters -- they are just too powerful at this point. That's not to say I won't do something more directly linked, I just need time to develop the next steps.

I'm just glad I managed to get to the end of Wasp/Final! Such things are rarely a given, as you know.
