Color me excited.

Beyond hyped. This story means so much to me. I'll have to listen to the full broadcast later, when I can take it all in at once. Thank you for giving us all some closure.

We just wrapped. It's over! The End of The End of Ponies!

Sweet release.

Skirrrtts! Youu fuucckkerrr i can't handle your wild ride.

Give me more

Wanted to drop a line to say I listened to the whole livecast (all the way till 2 in the morning!) and was glad I did. I hadn't even read End of Ponies but was curious to know about an early fandom story that had garnered so much attention. I wasn't in the chat though, since I'm a lurking scrub.

I admit, one of the reasons I stayed for the whole thing was to know if Trixie made an appearance (since I'm her bitch and all) and was not disappointed. Her involvement and resolution was so 2012 and I love you for it.

In fact, a lot of what happened had a lot of early fandom tropes built in but you managed to put a unique spin on some of them. Though, one of the reasons I probably never got into the story in the first place was that it sounded too grimdark for my tastes. I think one of your co-conspirators even mentioned how that was a turn off for him as well. Nowadays I could probably get through it without much issue but I was too into the happy-go-lucky feeling of the show to want to go through the trauma of seeing my little ponies get dumped on.

I'm really impressed with how much forethought went into the planning of this beast. Yeah, some of the solutions to the major plot points were kinda BS but I think that if you had made it to that point your readers would have played along. Stories that long tend to gain a lot of loyalty, and while you would have gotten some flak, by the end I think many would turn around and accept it.

Nice work with all of this!

Awesome podcast, I was listening to it while at work, on the drive home, and until 2. I loved the story and the ending even despite the BSness of the wealth of ex machinas. I always felt there was going to be a supremely bittersweet ending and I was right, although I just figured Scootaloo was going to find a way to 'The Beatles' Here Comes The Sun back to Equestria

Needless to say I'm satisfied with the end result and am happy to finally hear how this story was going to play out. It was the second fanfic I ever read and the first one to show me just how brilliant the medium could be. Muchos Gracias and thanks for the nachos.

When it comes to the time travel stuff, I actually think that the Entropa appeal would have been a very good explanation for the sudden change.

If time were mutable, then the Rarity arc would not have been possible. If time were immutable, then the ending would have been impossible. And so having that appeal to Entropa be the reason that time suddenly became mutable, if only for that small moment, would have reasonably covered up that plot hole (even if it would have been a little bit ex machina).

Besides the time travel shenanigans (especially the journal), the plan for the story is still absolutely exhilarating.

Love ya bro! Glad we could finally put this to rest!

That was awesome to listen to. And boy, would that have been a long story. Thanks for sharing the plot with us!
