Ok, so I know everyone getting this has at least had a taste of what kind of horror writer I am. Which is perfect for what I want to ask you guys.

Now, some small part of me told myself that once I was done with Corners I was going to stop writing horsewords entirely. But we all know that's bullshit. :)

Now, one of my biggest problems has never been coming up with new ideas, its choosing just one t write about. So I'm gonna let you guys choose which story I write next. I don't want to set any kind of schedule or anything, but whatever story gets the most votes or support or what have you in the comments section before the end of the night tomorrow night is gonna get an opening chapter by the end of the week. I've got three options for you:

Quae ab Inferno, Quod Factum est

"Canterlot is dead."

It's on everyone's minds. Their thoughts and dreams permeate with it. A message left for an unnamed recipient, strewn across the courtyards and houses of the elite and powerful. Few talk about it, because few understand it. Death is not a concept that is common in Equestria, outside of natural causes. Murder, an even scarcer thought. And yet, this alien idea has intruded itself on the prim and proper, as the mysterious message appears again and again.

Carved into the bodies of ponies and Griffins all over the city. Equestria has its first serial killer.

And he has much more to do than leave bodies lying around.

Indigo

An innocuous color. Almost camouflage in a world of colorful horses and rainbows and dragons.

Except for the light. A soft, innocent glow in small corners. Sometimes in a lamp, almost unnoticeable. Behind closed doors. Under the blankets.

Soon, it pervades, shows up everywhere. And those who see it, bask in its glow. They're never the same.

And neither are their victims.

Behind a Bloody Mirror

The last thing any living creature wants to do is die. Or at least, that's how it's supposed to be. Suicide is almost unheard of in Equestria, quite literally Many have never even seen the word in a book. But when a mysterious creature ambles through Ponyville offering a chance at a life even better and brighter than this one, through one simple flick of a blade, or a long, long nap, suddenly it's everywhere.

Some ponies even consider it. Some take tat final leap. And yet, somehow, they're still around to tell the tale.

And spread the word.

Indigo sounds interesting, but so does Mirror...
I'll cast for Indigo.

Those all sound really interesting and I honestly can barely decide. I kind of want to read all of these. I'll tentatively say option 3, because suicide is a heavy topic and lends itself to a more psychological style of horror than a supernatural one. I'd be interested in seeing what you do with that, to contrast a bit more with your last one.

I'm leaning towards Indigo. I like my horror cosmic and unknowable, and you've shown considerable skill in pulling off that sort of thing.

I'm gonna cast my vote for Indigo.

Indigo sounds the most intriguing only because there's so much possibility. However, it could easily turn out to be disappointing if it doesn't deliver on the hype.

"Quae ab Inferno, Quod Factum est" sounds like it could be interesting, though. Perhaps a little less Lovecraftian than "Corner," but it sounds like there's a bit more of a twist to it. I'll go against the grain and vote for that one, but I wouldn't be disappointed with "Indigo," either.

What 4329019, 4328980, 4329061 , and 4329035 said. Indigo has a delicious hint of Lovecraft's Colour Out Of Space otherworldliness.

Not really a fan of Mirror truth be told; hits a bit too close to home

Go for Indigo here as well. Dealing with not only the unknown but unknowable could be very interesting. See what Twilight could make of something that defies her efforts.

I love me some serial killer stories, but I'm going with everyone else and saying Indigo.

Quae ab Inferno, Quod Factum est first then indigo.

Indigo seems like just the kind of psychological horror that piques my interest. I vote there.

I'm more a fan of Indigo there, very Lovecraftian. I was a big fan of The Corner of Our Eyes, so I think I like where you would take this.

Bloody mirror, please. Or, failing that, Quae ab Inferno.

Indigo, then Behind a Bloody Mirror.

Quae ab Inferno, Quod Factum est; please.

PC

Indigo, since you've already shown skill in writing about the unknowable and I rarely see it pulled off well in pony fiction.

Indigo, then Behind a Bloody Mirror.

Indigo, then bloody mirror

Canterlot is dead 100%.
