As mentioned in a previous blog i explained that the time travel from Twilight's Twinlight would become it's own story.
However, my mind has been left thinking about it, i have to wonder which all of you would prefer; would you like the side story to be that, a side story following Ken going back in time, taking on the mantal of Clover the Clever til the events of Hearth's Warming, then becoming the uniting leader of the three tribes and raising a filly celestia and luna?
Or, would you rather i just make it a different human turned Twilicorn that goes by the name Clover the Clever in the past (her human name would actually be Clover Ken) and doing all the above?
Let me know. if the former, it would be a Ken from WAY past current story in Twilight's Twinlight (specifically set AFTER season 7 and the pony MLP movie), so it would be a fair bit into the future with Ken, maybe after Flurry Heart is old enough to go to school like the CMC, or at least Magic Kindergarten.

Now, where was i? Ah, yes. so, that would be where Ken would be coming from. it would also mean a bit of spoilers would be in the fic if i write certain chapters before getting too much further into Twilight's Twinlight, so that's something you'd have to contend with.
So, which is it, direct side story canon to Twilight's Twinlight, with a Ken from a set future from AFTER the original fic, or a whole different human turned Twilicorn, with a link to Twilight shock twist at the end?
Let me know. Til i've a good idea of what you'd all rather, i can't really do much with the side story now

Though I don't think Ken should take care of Celestia and Luna as that would make any future updates really messy in the regards to time travel. I do think that Ken should be the first recorded alicorn in history, just lost to time with all descriptions of him being vague, modern descriptions and paintings just being interpretations. Creating artist depictions has happened a ton in history as we have few surviving documents that are over a thousand years old. And obviously no pictures. (Paintings don't count in this regard as I doubt Ken would want to be immortalized in history that way)
You have already established the main "canon" if you will of the Twinlight storyline. Making a second unrelated "Twinlight" character might make some readers see you as over-abusing the trope. I also feel there would be confusion between the two stories no matter how clear you tried to be that Clover-Twinlight was a separate character from Ken-Twinlight. I, therefore, think it would be best for both you and your readers to simply make it, as you suggested, a side story starring the same Twinlight as "Canon".
You should make them a different human keep them mail that way when they turn into Twilight it'd be a lot funnier and make sure it still alicorn Twilight and make sure that the sisters see her as their mother and when you bring them into the future you can make it seem like Discord put her in a sleep or imprison her or something along those lines and Twilight and her friends help release her that's just the way I think it turned out great but whatever you think is good
Would it be greedy to ask for both? In all seriousness though, this is quite hard to decide. By the sound of it, our first choice (with Ken) is a full story with the time travel arc as just that. On the other hand, the latter choice (with a new human), sounds like the blast to the past is the main focus while using the return to the present as a conclusion. Is that the case? Cause if it is, I would much rather take the former. While time travel shenanigans is fun and all, I would like to see more about how Twilight and equestria as a whole reacts to the return of time traveling alicorn clone Clover the Clever (that happens to be a parental figure to their demigod rulers). Either way, I enjoy your work and can't wait to see more.

Keep going how you were, it was going perfectly before. There is only one thing I ask of you, if you are willing to could you make ken the matriarch of Twi's family? The thought of twilight's family starting with a fake twilight is just so amusing to me.
What about this:
In chapter 7, have Ken go back, but reappear (according to Twilight & co.) instantly. Then Ken could forget and slowly remember, and you could update the spinoff with every Twilight's Twinlight (maybe have it like Arrow flashbacks)
It's just an idea, and it probably won't work, but I'm still putting it out there.

I Vote for Alternate Universe, where Ken got as Twilicorn not into a cave with Glimmer, but in the past (but also in a cave, for continuity, you know ;))
I say make it Soren is in the past and raises the princesses and make it play through after he is sent back to the future.
I had only gotten around to reading this story today, so I missed the chapters about time travel,. It was very confusing. So I went to fimfetch and manage to read chapter 8-9, and it seemed good from what I saw.
I vote the former where Ken ends up being Clover the Clever.
However, perhaps not all the way after season 7. I mean since Ken would most likely stay with Twilight (No castle, and a duplicate), it would not be hard to imagine Ken being with Twilight when Starlight Glimmer comes back. Since Starlight was spying on the mane 6 during season 5, I can imagine Starlight making a plan to deal with Ken, so she can face off Twilight by herself. And since she has a time travel spell and the cutie map, which allows travel to anywhere in the timeline, I would think one of the best ways to get rid of Ken, would be to stick him back in time, in more of a time loop (like season 2 time travel) so Ken's actions doesn't change the timeline. Also for good measure, to make sure Ken can't leave a message, Starlight could put Ken far back in time, like a thousand years or so to be safe. And boom, Ken is Clover the Clever.
After Twilight convinces Starlight to stop and they end up back in the present, Ken could end up back in the present as well, after being stuck in the past for a couple of years, or more. I mean, it could lead to Ken working with Starswirl to make another time travel spell, one that uses something like the elements of harmony, whether it works and Ken ends up back in the present, or not, it could explain how Starlight got her hooves on such a spell, just needing to be modified to work with the cutie map instead.
These are just a couple of ideas for poor Ken. Please comment back if you like any of the ideas.

I for one enjoyed the original time travel arc, however, it is ultimately up to you how the story proceeds.
This might be a little late, but I personally I would think that it would be less confusing to make the clover the clever arc completely separate, or else keep it in the main story. Either way, if it should happen to ken, it should be shown in the main story.
