    Apologies for lack of Updates

As many may have become aware, aside from the latest chapter to I'm Peni Parker. What the FUCK? I haven't updated any of my fics since last week, despite saying in my latest update for Peni that i intended to return to posting fic updates.

We're back... but it's likely slow going.

So, in answer to the MANY people who keep asking when i'm going to update any of my fics despite my having a blog that explains WHY they've ALL been left unupdated over the last 3-4 months, my library is open again, so i should be able to finally get back to writing.

Don't panic, yet. hear me out first.

as i mentioned in the author's note of the chapter of the tagged fic yesterday, things have gotten trickier for me regarding writing.

the first and more personal reason is, since earlier this week, my local library has changed their computer system. it's almost completely different from what i'm used to and having to adjust to that, the most frustrating thing being the postion of the usb ports, which are now at the bottom of the screen, making them harder to reach and more different to both put the usbs in far enough to be registered and different to remove because of how much a grip the port has.

Second, and more generally, as you all know, the corona virus is causing huge problems around the world and society is changing to combat it. even here in Australia we've had cases of both the virus and deaths caused by it recorded and, like most of the world, our society is adjusting to try and keep as many of us safe and prevent the spread as much as is humanly possible.

schools and other businesses have shutdown, with no clear indication when they'll return to operations and some stores are even now refusing to take cash, meaning paying by card is the only option.

Why is this likely to effect my writing, you ask?

Well, as many who have followed my writings for some time now know, several years ago i lost the ability to write and publish my fics from home, so must use my local library.

however, i do not simply use the library computers solely to write my fanfictions, but everything else i need to do via computers. I write my personal story on the library computers. i download videos from the library computer. i sort through files on my usbs view the library computers. i post blogs like this via the library computers.

and i usually have to multitask most of those together at the same time, which can cut into the time i have to write at all, sometimes taking so long that i lose the drive to write for the rest of the day once done.

and, thanks to the virus to encourage social distancing to keep people safe, the library now has shutdown half of their public use computers, meaning there are less to go around and reserving them is the only likely chance of getting to use one, with you only likely getting the 1 hour to do everything due to the extreme likelihood someone reserved the computer for after your use while you were using it, meaning either you make another reservation yourself, or you finish using the computers at all for the rest of the day.

with all this in mind, any time the library is closed on my days off, no matter how much i have the drive to write, i cannot because, if the library is closed, i cannot use the computers.

Meaning, if at any point in the near or preferably distant future, the library closes due to concerns of keeping people safe from the virus, i will be unable to continue writing or anything via the computer.

true, i could use my dad's computer at home, but if he needed it, i'd have to get off, as he will likely need to start using it more often now for far more important reasons than my wanting to write fanfictions.

this being the case, if you notice my literally not updating ANYTHING for over a month at a time, you will know it is more than likely because my library has closed until it is safe to reopen.

as such, i ask you keep that in mind before asking for updates about any fic in the future, as if i can't write because the virus has forced places to close down, i shouldn't be expected to keep writing anyway. that would be horribly unfair.

regardless, i hope you all understand if my fics suddenly all stop updating altogether for longer periods of time as all these factors effect my ability to write at all.

thank you all for listening and supporting my writing. i hope to keep going forward and that we can all get out of this nightmare that has become our world. being sent to Equestria is becoming more and more desirable an option by the day.

good day or night to you all, stay safe, wash your hands and keep strong.

Sad to hear Hope this Damn thing passes soon.

I mean worse comes to worse you could write with Paper :pinkiegasp: even if you don't write full chapter you could at least write plot lines for future chapters. Of course it is ultimately up to to with what you wish to do.

It's too bad you live so far away, I'd offer to ship one of my unused hunk-o-junk laptops that would suffice for your needs, but it would cost several hundred yankee bucks to cross something over the pond...

Time, effort, and (believe it or not) money.

Is Fluttershy Fluttershy dead and I should take it off my bookshelf or not?

No and only if you want to, in that order
