Furniture was a distraction from my writing. That's why it had to go.
The cross country move is complete! In four days, Ether Echoes and I drove all the way from Washington DC to the San Francisco Bay Area, and now we have our own little place in downtown Sunnyvale. Orientation for the new job was this morning, and I start in earnest tomorrow! All signs point to this job being just as good as I thought it would be. 
That's fine. Ponies are more interesting than my real life anyway.
And so, writing! This week will be nearly all move-in stuff, but I'm back to working on 81 Days, along with a fun little short, The Princess of Sunnyvale, making fun of the sheer number of cities that get labeled as "San Francisco Bay Area." Because Sunnyvale is a real alicorn princess too, and she hates it so much when ponies introduce them as: "Princess Bay Area and the other one."
Fallout is, sadly, on hold. The move kind of turned that upside down. But, progress will soon resume!

What's really scary about the Bay Area is that at one point in the past, there were gaps between all the cities. They've slowly been growing together over the years, and by now, it is basically continuous from Vallejo to San Jose. Bay Point is only separated from Concord by a narrow strip of land, which would bring the city out all the way to Brentwood, and Napa is in danger of linking up with Vallejo via Rocktram and Middleton.
Eh, just buy a couple bean bag chairs and you're good.

Actually, when you think about it, it's a lot like New York back when Manhattan, Bronx, Brooklyn, and all the other Burroughs were actually separate cities. Only current law doesn't allow San Fran to just annex the others like Manhattan did back in the day.
