Bike Thief lassoed by man on horseback in Wal-Mart parking lot · 11:12pm Jun 11th, 2016

Robert Borba, a man from Southern Oregon, heard a woman scream and saw a man absconding with her bike. So, he did the thing any one of us would do - run off to his trailer, fetch his horse, and chase the man down with a lasso.

“Poor gal's bike that could have been her only transportation,” Borba says. “Stealing ain’t right so I figured get him stopped you know? I just roped him and the rope went down around his feet and I just rode off like I would if I’d roped a cow or something by myself.”

Officers arrested the suspect, Victorino Sanchez, on a theft charge. He’s being held at the Jackson County Jail.

Applejack would be proud.

This may be the best thing to ever happen near a Walmart.

I'm not qualifying that any further. This may be the best thing to ever happen near a Walmart.

Damn right. This is why I'm totally in support of concealed-carry horses. If the bad guys think everyone might have a horse, they'll think twice about stealing bikes.

Remember, all it takes is a hero with a horse.

Unfortunately the whole concealed-carry horse thing pretty much requires that everyone have at least one, because, you know, horses have a unique smell. And in that case, riding a bike – or doing anything else, really – would become extremely hazardous.

"Yeah, Applejack! Whoo-hoo!" :derpyderp1:

Still, it doesn't support the paranoid conspiratorial notion that we must all possess horses in order to someday overthrow a ridiculously corrupt government that doesn't even remotely exist.

It makes me both laugh and cry that the National Rider's Association's answer to the problem of horses being present on school campuses is to give school security guards even more horses.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore...

This is the best thing and I'm glad it happened and I'm glad he was successful in his endeavor to bring justice to the Walmart parking lot.

*Insert common Faith in humanity restored meme here*

I reckon guess they still do make heroes the old-fashioned way, sometimes.

Now I want to move to Oregon.

BTW, it's Robert Borba. Who may secretly be Titanium Dragon.

We need a Robert Borba in Equestria fic

Oh, Florida.

… wait, this wasn't in Florida.

What. The. Hay. :rainbowderp:

Way to rope me in. I'm fit to be tied, I am!
