The Belated Chapter 30 Update · 6:25am May 15th, 2016
After 2 data f*** ups turning half the text into jibberish, 2 rewrites, family chaos, and having to add twice as many scenes to it due to an ordering shuffle; finally got it done. Aaaand it ended up being the largest unbroken chapter on record for me. Well, hope you all enjoy it. Submitting it for proofing now so should be up in next few days.
Oh the the Sound of Thunder epilogue is all outlined out and being typed out as well. Probably gonna have a similar release date or be released within a week of 30.

At first I read that as "a week or 30", And was about to scream in disparity.
If The Bridge and the Sound of Thunder had TV intros, how would they go and what music would be used to accompany them?
I ask this because I started reading the Human side of the story by Smjames and just finished the chapter where Pentecoast leaked out where the Kiaju ended up.

3946210 Well while not the size of whole books all the time, to give a comparison to some popular fantasy fiction. And note for references to Bridge proper, I'm going off the current count excluding chapter 30.
-The Bridge in total is slight longer than the average across the Song of Ice and Fire books, with 'A Storm of Swords' and 'A Dance with Dragons' being roughly 40,000 words longer, but the other books being 60,000 to 100,000 words shorter
-The story is also longer than any of the Harry Potter books, by a margin of up to 131,000 to 311,000 words longer. This chapter 30 alone is the size of a whole third of the first book.
-The finale three chapters for the Enjin arc alone are longer than some editions of 'Paradise Lost' as well as longer than 'Hamlet' and 'Macbeth' put together.

3946405 Well, you have to concede that some of that comes from certain chapters that really don't need to be in the story. By that I mean the one that's basically the intro to the prequel and the last April fools story. (I'm not saying they aren't good or anything, but that if you removed them it wouldn't affect the current story) But i think the editorials/commentary at the end of each chapter count to that word count. So that would need to be subtracted as well.
However I'm pretty sure it hasn't beaten the word count of the Starwars book series.
It must be like being lost in a deserted part of the world.

3947032 Author’s Notes are not included in the word count. I know this because I also put my stories on fanfiction.net and that site includes Author’s Notes in its word count. The word count on fanfiction.net is higher.
