"ONE VOTE?"
I've been seeing a lot of people comment on how Diamond Tiara lost to Pip by one vote, and then confronted Silver Spoon about not voting for her.
A lot of people seem to have forgotten how secret ballots work.
Folks, Diamond Tiara didn't lose by one vote.
Diamond TIara only GOT one vote.
Her own.
That's how she knew Silver Spoon voted for Pip.
Because nopony voted for Diamond Tiara except Diamond Tiara.
Didn't think this needed to be explained. But then again...
I made that mistake as well, though the episode probably didn't specify it in the best way.

Wow. Even I understood it. Of course, I kind of figured she'd only get one vote to begin with.

No, it really couldn't, because she knew Silver Spoon didn't vote for her.
If there had been even two votes for her she would have assumed otherwise.
Plus Cheerilee laughed at the idea of a recount, so even before DT said "one vote" it was established that the results were nowhere close to a tie.
In context her only getting one vote is the only reasonable way to interpret that scene. Until this post it didn't even occur to me that there would be people who would do otherwise.

I didn't know people could misunderstand that line. It sort of reminds me of one Ed Edd n Eddy episode, where Eddy found out Double D voted for Plank instead of him because he only had one vote.
