So close to done I can taste it, but not quite yet.
17383 words. Shouldn't be more than a few hundred more, but I need to tweak a few things before I send this out to the editors. Think I dare say that should happen sometime during the weekend, with the chapter proper dropping sometime next week.
As such, last call if anybody wants to volunteer for editing that hasn't already. At least for #8.

I am not a skilled editor, but I could add in my 2 bits if you wish? I'd certainly read it several times over, perhaps catch an error or an awkward reference in the process, or just give my impressions on parts.
I'm having Lasik tomorrow, (wish me luck!) so there is a possibility I won't be able to see the screen. I still want to help but if I don't get back to you in time, that is why.

In my weak defense, the next chapter has some big, important moments in it. I want to make them justice.
Well, my eyes are healing up nicely thus far, and ready for a hearty run of editing... But if I know Dorkness, he's up to around 20k words by now. By the time his editors see the chapter he'll have decided to split it into two that are each 15k words long.

Well, just try to be sure any words you are adding actually add to the story rather than just making it longer. Your last two chapters were on the 'overwritten' side.
Still, I'm not about to lose faith in you. I just hope we get to see #8... someday...

Actually, that's more or less exactly why things have taking so long. I myself realizing things are getting to long and cutting stuff that is.
I'm at version 5, and that's without the spell-checks and editors. I think I'm close, but the chapter ending wasn't even a tenth as quick and easy as I thought it would be.
