I really do wish to apologise for how absent my writing has been. Things have happened, and my desire to write was the first thing to be impeded by stuff in general. In between my state of health recently ( kidney stones, colds, general just being me ) I have had little time, let alone want, to write. However, I am here, and I am actively writing on ASaTV again. I am also redoing one of the holiday themed side stories, so there is that as well!
I vow, no... I promise, that by the end of the following week, there will be something sent to my proof-readers/editors/stick pokers. Non-debateable, and I will do this because I want too, not because I have too.
Besides, Ebony is getting pretty angry in my head. x.x
But, I do feel horrible for this, so I wanted to get something to show people as a gift. To that end, I have commissioned a picture of Jessica. Not just any picture though, a reference picture!
This was done by the amazingly talented M1karu and I adore it. It even has Jess singing, and she looks surprisingly confident while doing so. There's also a sneaky Ebony there too, as a human no less! ^-^
Anyhow, again I am so sorry about the huge and unacceptable delay between chapters. I know people want to find out what happens next from the ponies' ( and Ebony's ) point of view. I haven't forgotten about Viktoria either, but that is even harder to write. x.x
Anyhow, no more excuses. Will get something out, and I am already 4k words into the chapter thus far!

Yay, you're alive! I'm so glad! ^.^ I love the artwork as well. Jessica is a very handsome young woman, and Ebony ain't too shabby either. Wonder how she'd feel if she knew an alien species owuld find her looks attractive?

She's hot. You don't hardly ever see a hie with an ugly or average person, especially a chick, at least in terms of looks. You'll probably never see a human character like me (except maybe one in particular that i can't recall the name of). 30 years old, belly flabby and saggy from fat and the loss of a bunch of excess flab... yeah.

You put me in a painful position. On one hand, I want to share a story with a similar case, but on the other, I feel that it's not my place to ask others to read it.
Ouch. My condenses on the kidney stones. I've been there big time myself. Looking forward to the updates when you can get them out, just don't break yourself doing it.

Not a bad look for the two characters. Maybe a bit too sexy, but heh, nothing wrong with that to be honest. Nonetheless, if any of your stick pokers arent around, Id be glad to pick ip a twig and help out. If anything just to get the story back on the map.

I was talking to a friend not long ago. She said that the longer you let writer's block fester the worse it gets, so it's good you're getting the gears turning again.

3165398 I'll be honest, I always got a much more "average" vibe from Jessica than what that picture presents (which was actually something I liked about the story). She always struck me as someone who didn't pay especially close attention to her looks or her weight leading to a fairly typical appearance. She might manage cute depending on her face (I never did have a strong mental image of that), but definitely not hot like this picture. That said, she is clearly stated to be too young to really be saggy yet and we do not get the kinds of comments that would indicate extreme body weight or some kind of deformity so I cannot see her being ugly either.
That said, it is still a beautiful piece of art even if she does look more like a model or athlete than the normal person I pictured her as.

I would prefer solitary pinion, but atleast your alive and trying to write! (eyes a good 20 authors he recently cleaned out of his read later list for abandoning their work and got even having the decency to say they were quitting fim fic.

...actually it kinda worked out (your lack of activity) since I have been absent from Fim:Fiction for ages due to IRL stuff. I wouldn't have been poking your stories, however I've returned! I've been working to get my own story off the ground, and I stand ready for stick poking!

So, did anything make it to your editors? It would be pretty awesome if it did. If it didn't, <shrugs> then we get to wait longer.
Have you tried getting a cowriter? Or even just someone to talk to when you don't feel like writing.

Yeah, that's what I thought 'mocha' was too. However on googling to see comparisons it is actually a pretty slight skin tone. More like a light tan than than properly brown, though it varies depending on the source's interpretation of what where 'mocha' lies on the scale (between 'barely on the level of a tan', to 'light brown').
I would have thought Ebony would be properly dark skinned though, because black chitin, and a name like 'Ebony' (even if it was a nickname given by the main character). However Ebony seems even paler than Jessica in this interpretation. I suppose I could see how that could come to pass, seeing as Changelings spend a lot of time in caves, and cave dwelling species are sometimes pale (though mostly the ones that never see sunlight fit those conditions).
