What are we choosing a name for? I can't do something like this without knowing what I'm naming, for names have power.

Magicka Metroid.
I'm guessing a new phenotype of Metroid or something. I don't like any of the names supplied but if my guess is sufficiently correct, Thaumic Metroid.
I know it sounds a little silly, Arcane Metroid. Here's a link to the meaning on dictionary.com
I'm not actually picking this but this one makes more sense because the other growth stages of Metroids uses greek letters as designations for each stage (if you're going to use Metroid 2 mythos that is)
Edit: Chi would be more fitting designation if it was a cross between an X parasite and a metroid (which is obviously impossible)

I think this is good logic here, so I'll throw my vote to Chi
I'd go with Equestrian Metroid myself.
Stick with the existing naming system. Chi Metroid.
If it's a Metroid adapted to draw energy from Equestria's magical field, gor with Equestrian Metroid, in the pattern of Tallon Metroid, and so on.
If it's a Metroid capable of using magic, go with Magicka Metroid.
If it's a unique growth stage as a result of exposure to Equestria's magical environment, go with Chi Metroid.

If the title is for the sequel, this is what I could come up with.

This just may be a guess, but if you are coming up with a new kind of Metroid enemy, then I would choose Arcane Metroid or Magicka Metroid, since they can absorb energies from magic and evolve.
