Younger fans leaving · 1:41pm Jul 24th, 2014
It makes me rather uncomfortable to know that some younger fans are forced to leave and even more so to know that those who are, are being removed from a show about colorful ponies. It doesn't imply good, and I'm tempted to simply browse for cute pictures or anything else to avoid looking at the situation altogether. MLP is growing to be viewed as having less safety than it ever did before.
That is a tragedy.
This is sad they will be after me soon
I think you're overreacting a bit with FlamingPizza. There is an age minimum, which the site staff expects user to comply to.
Also.
A direct quote from the comment you linked to.
This is clearly saying she can come back once she's within the age minimum. So yeah, you're overreacting a bit.
I won't say anything about Link 2, since I see no reason why you shouldn't complain about that one.
But why link to Slendermare? That was ages ago, everybody it concerns already knows about it.
Hng... At this rate, I won't be able to brainwash the younger audiences...
(But seriosuly, we'll just have to wait for them to come back. A lot, but just wait.)
Wow, I feel really bad for the people who were kicked off by their parents. I'm 13 and my parents really don't care. Hell, my dad goes on fimfiction and reads my stories.
Two more reasons to add to my "List of Reasons Why I'm Still In the Closet About Being a Pegasister."
It sucks when people are forced to leave by their parents.
At times like this, I'm glad my parents don't give a fuck about what I do on the internet and are actually pretty happy that I write fanfictions.
If the site itself starts enforcing an age limit, it'll mostly be for litigious reasons. (I.e. "Blah blah blah, my daughter used this site to chat and hook up with a pedophile! Derka derka doo, my mouthbreathing son was traumatized by someone's story about a BDSM lesbian horse fantasy!" Okay...I actually sympathize with that last one.) Makes me rather glad that I'm big, hairy adult who's fully self-sufficient and pays his own taxes, bills, and various expenditures. I pay for my own goddamn Internet and rent. I'll participate in dumbassed horse-fuckery if I want.
Protip: Being an adult isn't all that fun. Try to hide in your parents' house until they forget you're their. Then, as is dictated by "squatters' rights", it's pretty much yours.
...Well, I'm pretty sure you have to be at least a certain age to not be bothered by where you choose to browse the internet. Maybe they were K-8 graders?
That is why college will be the best years of your life No parents or responsibilities (well unless you actually want to make something of your life after college, but come on who wants to be successful)
It does seem kinda weird that the site's age minimum is pretty much double the age of the actual show's actual target demographic.
Also, now I feel really old.
Thirteen is consistent with the rules of the major social networks -- Twitter, Facebook, that sort of thing.
(That said, my oldest grandchild sneaked onto Facebook a bit early; he'd have gotten away with it, too, except he posted something about being "in a relationship.")
I do feel pretty disgusted by this situation. These children are part of this fandom. Noone can really take that away from this. Its more of a right as an individual, to be independant to make their own decisions. Look at 4chan, funnyjunk, hell, even on xbox has little kids that act worse than what happens on this site. We have our own right on what we can be fans of. We dont really care what others say. We ignore it and carry on. I maybe rambling right now but I think I give some good pointers out there.

Yea, it is much worse in other places than here in comparison. I overacted though with this blog though.
