Story Promotion Blog and Some Raising Rainbow News · 2:09am Jul 21st, 2014

Alright, I'm going to being promoting some stories written by other people. I don't usually do this, but these are some pieces that I've been stunned by, and I think deserve more positive attention.

1.) Nothing Shocks Me Anymore by SusieBeeca.
This story was very emotional/sad. Now, I'm not going to lie, I'm a lazy reader, so when I saw 6,000+ words I was a bit reluctant, however, the moment I started reading I didn't want to stop. It's very interesting, pretty dark, and a bit cute at times. To sum the story up the best I can, it's about a series of diary entries from Screw Loose. It does carry some pretty touchy/sensitive subjects, so it's not for everyone. I'd highly suggest reading it if you're into darker/sadder stories, and have a bit of time on your hands.

2.) Pinkie Plural by Duplex Fields.
This is another sadder/darker story. It's pretty complex, and definitely has a lot of thought behind it. To sum it up, it's the thought process of one of the last clones in the final scene of the episode Too Many Pinkie Pies!. It's a very good read, and I'd highly suggest checking it out. It's not long at all, and worth one's time.

3.) A Funeral by Twifight Sparkill
This was just very, very sad. It was beautifully done, and I absolutely loved reading this (even though I cried). I seriously don't understand how this user and story aren't more popular. This writer deserves a lot more popularity, and their work is absolutely incredible. To sum up the story I'm talking about, however, it's about an adult Scootaloo saying goodbye to a deceased Rainbow Dash. If you have time, please take a look at it.

4.) We Don't Normally Wear Clothes by Harmony Charmer.
This story, for me, was just entertaining. To sum it up, it's about a mare in court, who was almost raped. In court, she's asked some rather stupid questions. I know, rape/being attacked is not something to joke about, but the way the short story plays out, and the attacker's reactions are just entertaining/funny to me. I get it, a story like this isn't for everyone, but it certainly was funny to me. Give it a read if it interests you at all.

Now, Raising Rainbow News!
~~As you guys know, in my most recent chapter of~~ Raising Rainbow, I asked you all in the comments to vote for a filly/colt. Some of you get it, and understand while I'm trying to get at, while others seem to either not know or be taking wild guesses. Now, the score currently is tied, 18-18. However, I want to be able to finish my latest chapter, and I need to know the gender to complete it. So, tomorrow at noon, I'll be stopping the voting completely. I'm in the Eastern time zone of the US, if that helps.
Now, I'm going to be doing something a bit odd; If you voted in the comments of the story, I count that as one vote, however, you can vote a second time in the comment of this blog and I'll count it towards the total. So, yeah, technically, everyone gets two votes. I'll be updating the current total in this blog post every once in a while, so stay in touch if the results interest you. If it's tied, then well.... We're going to have some interesting results. I hoping it's not, to be honest.
Well, time's up! I'll be tallying the votes up and finishing the chapter. It should be up 7/24-7/26, depending how long it ends up being. I already have the first thousand or so words written, so... yeah.
