... As of writing this it has been well over a year since I last wrote a chapter of Binky Pie, and, to my further shame, over three years since I started it! I'm sorry I never got around to finishing it. It's been a constant nagging presence in the back of my head for so long I sort of got used to ignoring it, and life has a way of getting... in the way, as it were.
However! I write this now with a renewed promise, for what it's worth, that I do intend to finish it. This current chapter is difficult for me to write, mostly because it's the one bit I never planned for and I just can't figure out what the hell to actually put on paper. From here on out I reckon there's three chapters 'til the end, and I apologize if the style of the end does not match the style of the beginning. For that, blame the extreme length of time separating them and the changes to my writing style and person that have resulted from it.
Onwards! For cake and glory!

Still, this is exciting. Binky Pie was by far the most entertaining read I ever had on this site.

I am very very glad to read that, because this fic was one of my favorites and I was sad to see that the hiatus had stretched over a year. We all know that more often than not when a fic goes into such a long stop, it means that it's been abandoned by the author, I really cannot tell you how glad I am to see that this is not the case.
Crossovers are basically love-letters from the author to the source materials. While there's nothing wrong with that per se, all too often they tend to miss the point and focus on a certain character or story over which the author gushes over
. Your story did not, it managed to nail the main characters and weave them in an interesting vibrant narrative. It was awesome how well you managed to make Pinkie into the new Binky. Everything just flowed beautifully in place.
So thinking that such a well done crossover of ponies and the Discworld was probably never going to see an ending was sad. To discover that it would eventurally have one, well, it was PINKIE PARTY HARD LEVEL AWESOME!
