I had a number of ideas for humorous novelty blog posts · 2:39pm Mar 29th, 2014
but none of them really clicked.
Recently I have finally been catching up on Season 3 (yes, 3) and AS IS PONIES' WONT it has been sort of firing my imagination when it comes to Things To Put In My Dumb Story About Superheroes. WORDS HAVE BEEN TYPED. So, despite having been BURNED before, I think anyone who is even a cursory follower of said dumb story should KEEP AN EYE OUT.
Also boy oh boy S3 really is mediocre, isn't it? I have seen a few S4 episodes and the overall quality just seems mad different. I shall just treat it like Red Dwarf, where if you watch the whole thing you have to accept that Season 7 is a thing that exists, no matter how much it hurts.
MUCH EXCITE
SO ANTICIPATE

Yeah, season 3 is unequivocally the worst season so far. 4 way outshines it, even when it's not doing so well itself.
I guess this means that H+S season 3 is going to be a marked improvement over it's predecessors, right?
... Right?

Obviously, in their infinite wisdom, hasbro decided to make the weakest season half the length so as to decrease the overall average of mediocre episodes.
;-;
Yeah, Season 3 was the worst thus far. Mind you, "worst" doesn't mean "objectively bad," but it's certainly the weakest one. 4 is a massive improvement.
In any case, glad to here you're in and un-burnt. Or whatever the inverse of burnout is.
Don't forget to watch Equestria Girls after season 3. Beast of a film -- probably the best ever made!
1963818 such harsh
many cruel
wow =(
1963856 it's like, it's clear that Sleepless in Ponyville is considered such a good episode only because it is NOT AS BAD AS THE REST. Like, it's a perfectly solid episode of SOME OTHER SHOW, but it just being not bad automatically makes it a really good episode compared to the rest.
1963969 hahahahahahaha, season 3. Oh, oh, boy. You crack me up every time, supersheep.
T_T
1963985 Also the last few episodes of season 8. Goddamn Pete.
1964118 Psssh, burnout, I'd have to care to get burnt out, haha. Looking back on my old blog posts I was clearly having a bad time because that is entirely not how much I am invested in ponyfic.
1964248 I told my 11-year-old sister that I hadn't seen Equestria Girls and her immediate response was "don't."

Um, I just meant I was agreeing with Blueshift. You know, ditto?
Hope I didn't offend.
1965064 Nono I was being ironic IN MY BRITISH WAY. I was not actually upset. I was pretending to not approve of your joke as a way of approving of your joke.
LOOK THAT'S JUST HOW WE DO THINGS OVER HERE OKAY
WRITE ON, ARCAINUM! Pierce the heavens with your blog posts!
(Sorry, I just noticed you were the author of both Harpflank and Sweets and also Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann: Kouma-hen.)
1965047 But it's the Citizen Kane of ponies! This century's Hamlet! In fact it's better than Hamlet. If you stapled all of Shakespeare's plays together to create a super-massive-mega-play, then Equestria Girls would still come out on top. And--
Arg, I can't keep this up any more. Listen to your sister. She knows, man. She knows.
1965628 As yes, the dry British sense of humour. It occasionally infects even us of the Frozen North. Thankfully, eventually it passes.
Y'all have no idea how happy it makes me every time ah hear somebody say they hate season three. It started weak, it ended weak, an' in the middle? Weak. Equestria Girls? Oh you better believe it's weak. The only (debatably) good thing ta come outta the season was Babs... an' she's not in season 4, so, yeah, weak.
Ah believe the term is "like night and day". Castle Mania was our glorious new dawn. Ah only fear the sunset at the end a' season five.
