Short bit from the next 'United we Stand': SPOILERS WITHIN! · 12:14am Dec 18th, 2013
Hello, everyone! The next post of 'The Conversion Bureau: United We Stand' is almost done with the draft to be sent to the proofreader. However, I figured I'd tease you with a small snippet of what's to come. And for some reason i can't put spoiler bars over the entirety of the text. So... yeah. Scroll down, I guess...
“It's not 'nothing',” Busy Body interjected. He looked back up at the sleeping queen. “But for the moment that must wait.” He picked the clipboard back up with his mouth and slid it back into his saddlebag. “I shall return,” he said as he turned and trotted out.
Twilight turned to the other stallion, an earth pony with a purple coat, green mane and the cutie mark of a quill and rolled-up scroll. “Spike, take a letter,” she said as a quill, inkwell and scroll suddenly appeared in a flash of light.
Spike nodded. He reached for the quill, but his hoof merely lifted it a few inches off the ground before it fell back. “Oh, horse apples,” he muttered.
Twilight let out a sigh. “Oh, just use your mouth, Spike.”
Spike nodded. “Sorry, Twilight. I'm still getting used to this.” He let out a chuckle. “But I am glad you did this to me. It's a lot better being a pony than a dragon!” He gingerly picked the quill up with his lips, dipped it into the inkwell and positioned it over the parchment. “Othay!”

Ok, that is not Twilight, that is a monster. I was thinking that maybe the mane 6 could be saved in the Conversion Beaur universe, now I am thinking not so much.
I'm glad this is still being worked on. Of course that snippet fills me with an incandescent rage.

You know something?
I don't feel nearly as angry as I should. It took me a moment to figure it out, but then I identified the emotion.
VINDICATION.
I knew that eventually, some pony would realize the same reasons that make the humans eligible for conversion could also be applied to spike. Once it happened, Twilight Sparkle would either try to justify why the humans should be converted and Spike shouldn't, or to go ahead with it, even against Spike's will if necessary.
