Princess Twilight Takes A Rest, and Ask Me Anything! · 3:55am Nov 26th, 2013
Heya, folks!
Okay, so I have voiced concerns about Princess Twilight Takes A Walk. I knew going in that it wasn't going to be a standard narrative, and that is my intent. However, upon further planning... it's looking weaker. Like, I'm not sure how to do the flip-flop flashbacks/now bit without dragging the story, having chapters of pure fluff. So, I considered having a few flashbacks back to back... but that leaves me with a bunch of b'aww scenes in a row, to the point where it risks looking redundant and cruel. So, I have decided to put the story on hiatus for now. IT IS NOT ABANDONED! I will finish it, but I need time to consider what to do with it.
So much for working on it everyday...
Anywho, beyond that, expect the first chapter of Beholder out tonight or tomorrow morning. See, I'm on night shift for the next two weeks, 1800-0600. I volunteered for this because I'm the only one in the company without a family, so I took the bullet for them so they can spend time with their kids and whatnot. Ain't I just a sweetheart? But this leaves me bored as shit, so to alleviate that...

having chapters of pure fluff isn't necessarily a bad thing.
True you don't want to drag out the plot line with blatant acts of fanservice, or bog it down with so much detail that it takes forever to get anywhere. However, your writing doesn't seem to be bothered with either of these problems. If you start getting a little fluffier than your usual foray i'm sure your readers and fellow writers will still love the work you put out.
I do commend you for wanting to put out the best work you can though. just don't overthink yourself into inaction.
