Danger Beans

I was once an ordinary Lima Bean. One day I got bitten by a radioactive fanfiction writer and my life was changed forever.

    Matthew Says Hi

    Pictured: My House.

So I'm currently being rained on by a Hurricane. I'm expecting the power to go out soon, but other than that, it's mostly an inconvenience. :ajbemused:

    Safe in Orlando

I'm sure by this point you're all aware of the shooting which took place in Orlando during the early hours of this morning, what most of you probably don't know is that I actually live in Orlando. The tension here is palpable. This morning everyone was terrified, my sister and I were bombarded with phone calls from various friends and relatives, looking to make sure that we were okay. Even

    Amoongus! I Choose You!

So I don't know how many of my followers are pokemon fans, but every once in a while, when I need something mindless to do, I open up Pokemon Showdown and play a few rounds.

I don't even know how to explain what happened today, so I'll show you.

This poor bastard got his shit pushed in by an Amoongus.

The Handy Dandy Writers' Reference · 4:22pm Aug 10th, 2013

In preparation for writing and publishing my own fanfiction, I I decided to do a little research; a little research, and before long I'd amassed a wealth of links, blogs, and other writings on the topic, both from within and without Fimfiction, and I thought that I could save some other newbies the trouble I had to go through by simply posting them all here.

Honorable mention goes to My Little Republic: Plato is Magic, which isn't actually related to Fanfiction, but is quite interesting in its own right, and attracted enough attention that Lauren Faust herself read and commented on it.

Pretty useful resources; I'll have to take a look over some myself.

After all, there is always room for improvement no matter how good you are, or how good you think you are. :moustache:

You might want to check back in periodically. I plan to update this thing continuously and as of right now, I have six bookmarked links I have to add. I've also been looking into finding advice from professional and semi-professional authors. Likewise if you find anything from around the web you think would make a good fit, or there is anything in this directory you find lacking, by all means let me know.

[EDIT] Make it 18 now. 0_o
I'm going to have to completely restructure this thing. Ooh well...

How to Breath New Life Into a Cliche

How to spelling? :ajbemused:

A "breath/breathe" error in a guide concerning good writing. To make it worse, the error is not in the actual thing you linked to (though both forget the acute accent on "cliché"). I think I have a few Common Error blogs of my own to add to this list :trixieshiftright:

* Concerning Self-Editing, Stealth Mountains and Regicide
* Concerning the Lead Content of LEDs, Laying Layers of Lies, and Lying Down Beside the Point.

Really, though, what's with breath/breathe? No only is one a verb and the other a noun, but they're not even homophones! :rainbowderp:
