Here's a blog post unrelated (somewhat) to any story I have written. Its more of a list of story concepts my mind has been pitching back and forth. Some were ping-ponging in my head for... well, a good while. Others, I just recently developed. For convenience's sake, I'll separate which one goes to the Gentlemanverse, and which one doesn't.
Concept Stories Set in the Gentlemanverse
Gryphon: Rise of the Kingdom
(working title)
While the Last Stand of Arnau was meant as a one-shot story depicting of the moment griffins faced extermination, the lead-up towards that specific moment was a story on its own.
Blessed Arnau and Fortis the Blasphemer—allies forged by circumstances, the story explores the story of their meeting, in a world that is slowly going to the crows. There's something going on between the Tribes, internal conflicts that is sowing chaos amongst the territories. Investigating the odd circumstances, Arnau and Fortis uncover a plan to destroy all of the Griffin Tribes.
This story will try and explore more aspects of the Gryphon Culture, and hopefully show how the present Gryphons evolved from it. Its also a good exploration of the Cloven, while giving Arnau and Fortis some real time to shine.
Forging a Company
(working title)
Ever Ring was called in by a friend to discuss a business proposal. Thanks to a certain article, her friend, a pony named 'Platinum Corona', wants to propose hiring male humans as escorts. Ever Ring thinks 'Platinum' has gone insane.
This story is an exploration of characters and an expansion of the culture of Equestrian Ponies in the Gentlemanverse. It's pretty much a conversation fic, with Ever Ring showing her core characteristics, showing us who she was before the Gentlemen for Mares, before she met Harry. May just be a one shot, or a collection of one-shots that may explore how the company was forged, brick by brick.

Superman/MLP Fusion
Okay, I blame this on Man of Steel. I watched the movie twice, and despite its problems, I enjoyed it so much that I began to wonder if I can do this right.
No real story yet, but exploration on a lot of HiE Mechanics.
A baby human is sent through dimensions when Earth faced destruction (alien invasion is my first choice, but hey, we can explore this too). Not a modern human, though. A bit of a cross between Mass Effect and Starcraft technology (holograms, AI, and space exploration stuff). Sent through a dimension by his parents, he lands in Hoofville and found by an earth pony and a unicorn.
The unicorn forges either a potion or a magic gem that can transform the human to a pony and back to a human, which for me validates the HiE tag.
To explain his powers, I'll establish that on his home dimension, the baby human is just a normal regular human, but on Equestria's world, he's more. I'm thinking of explaining the different rules of physics between each world as a sort of Radiation. In Equestria, its rich with Faustian (okay, maybe overdoing it) that affected him and gives him the abilities to fly, be very strong, very enduring, and hard to harm. While he's still affected a bit by magic, he actually can displace the spell matrixes enough that he's called magic resistant.
Kryptonite would probably be metals or stones that came with the human and his trip to Equestria. This metals give out a radiation that cancels out Faustian waves, making him more vulnerable (but not directly harming him). Terranite?
And the usual stuff. Lyra as a Lois replacement (while the whole Lyra likes hands/humans seem to be running its course, how about the opposite: this story actually gives a start for her obsession?), the enemy would be a genetically modified human called Khan (survivor of the destruction of Earth), and maybe even more aliens that slowly find something useful about a backwater planet filled with equines, griffins and other species.
Okay, think I'm ranting long and hard enough.

The Gryphon story sounds the most interesting. Since, there's very little (almost nothing) in the show itself in what Gryphon culture is like.

Forging a Company is a bit of both. Ever Ring is actually against getting the company built, and even told Platinum that if it does find success, she could hire her.
Guess Eve was wrong there.
As for the Supes thing... It'll take some work to make it right, yeah.
I don't know why, but when I read the ideas that take place in the Gentlemen verse I started to think about how in the Elder Scrolls series there are books that tells of the events of the past games. Then I stated to think of how these ideas could be referenced in the current stories. Lie for example Gilda could give Marco a history book, which would be Gryphon: Rise of the Kingdom, because she saw a copy and just happened to remember that he likes stuff like that, and for the other Ever Ring mentioning an interview for a for a Biography, which becomes Forging a Company.
Finally, I can do some commenting now that I'm done with Biochemistry!
The griffin fic seems to fit your style. I've noticed that lately you've been gravitating towards griffin fics in general. You seem to have a clear idea of the world, good characters, and I like the direction that you are taking everything. Go for it if you want it.
The Gentlemanverse fic could be good. I always wanted to know how the company got started. However, given that it's a conversation fic, The story might get a little bit boring halfway however. Throw in a little conflict and emotion as well as some originality, and you will be set.
I doubt that the Superman idea would work. That kind of origin story has been done to death in the media. I also never liked stories that parallel the original source material simply because they're far removed from said sources.

You can make Superman a pony, but is making him an Equestrian enough on its own to make the story worth telling? And does Equestria even need a superman when it has so much magic everywhere and Princess Celestia too?

You know hat is funny. Superman wouldn't even be that strong in Equestria. He is vulnerable to magic. Something that every being on that world seems to posses.

The others sound cool. I have myself considered writing a historical narrative of griffon culture, but despite that, I'm not sure I'd be willing to read it. You'll need something to sell that story.

More like a fusion than anything, and using humans instead of Kryptonians. Rules are pretty different, but the similarities are kinda there.
And no worries. I'm just enjoying the whole Man of Steel thing. If nothing else comes from the idea, I won't do it. XD

1145761 Now that you mention it... that kinda makes sense. A human ends up in Equestria (probably due to some inter-planetary war/genocide) and the magic inherent to the world of Equestria gives this ordinary human super-hero powers.
So it'd be a standard HiE, except the H becomes superman. All we need is a villain and a weakness akin to kryptonite. Maybe something totally mundane. Like um... well shit. What don't they have in Equestria? They have gems, gold, brass (by extension copper and probably zinc), not entirely sure I've seen silver (but Silver Spoon), it can be reasoned that they have lead, iron, tin, aluminum... not sure I've seen anything that would prove aluminum exists there (or is in common use). Hmm. Aluminum I guess, unless I'm wrong. Uranium perhaps? I think something seemingly harmless would be funnier than something that's mildly radioactive.
