Fictionally preparing for the obviously-doomed Miss Harshwhinny Convention over in the relevant forum reminds me that I haven't let anyone know that, God willing and the creek don't rise, I'm going to be at Everfree Northwest this year doing the writing panel thing. I have been told that I should inform people of this sort of thing beforehand as a courtesy, in the bizarre event that my presence on a writing panel might actually encourage you to attend said con, giving you time to make necessary arrangements. Done!
Your follower count is approaching elite status.
Also, I cannot attend cons. It's sort of a shame, but not really.
I guess our second meeting won't be as epic as our first atop the Empire State Building.
I keep wishing that my student exchange was in the summer instead of now so I can go to EFNW.
Would be nice, but hopefully I'll be watching from the Internet.
Sweet. I'm gonna be up there with a group of friends. I'll be sure to catch the writing panel.

Ya gotta admit, it's a hard benchmark to meet.
As it so happens, just hours before I read this I confirmed my own attendance and was chatting with the writing track lead. Looks like I'll be right there with you, possibly even on some of the same panels!
Still looking forward to Harshcon though. I hope the talking dinosaur shows.

There's actually an entire track of panels on various topics on the craft of writing. If I can get another panelist or three, for example, I might be running one on "Making The Big Time" (how to get featureboxed, how to deal with EqD, what gets stories read, etc).

Aye. It's good that you're on the panel; it should be interesting. I was actually interested in looking at being on panels myself, but I don't know anybody, and I'm unsure if I qualify. As a University writing major, I think I'm good enough to be on one. See, I'm not sure if you should approach somebody (or whom you should approach) to be on one of these, or if they call on you.
1007323 You two could try the Space Needle, or Mt. Rainier if you feel particularly daring.

I've been in the CN Tower. The Space Needle does not hold a candle.
1008627 Well, it looks like you've already made the decision for yourself then! Mt Rainier it is!
Awesome! Your panel is going to be my first priority there.
After food.
Oh, who am I kidding? I'll steal a few bagels from the hotel. Do you like cream cheese or butter??

I'm a cream cheese aficionado myself, though I anticipate I will have stolen my full share of food all by my lonesome and will not be in need of a cat's paw. Thank you, though.
Have fun! The inaugural EFNW was my first ever convention of any sort, and I had a blast. Got a hug from Tabitha. My wife thought Cereal Velocity was charming. There was a very nice man in a quadrupedal Princess Celestia costume who was doomed to be very sweaty for the course of the weekend. Your upcoming panel will be great, and I'll be sure to watch the recording.
Hey, see you there!
Boy am I late to this news--congrats!! Excited? Nervous? Other?

I've done my share of panels, so I'm feeling pretty good about it.

Whaaaaaaaat....I didn't know this! Wait wait--they were for that web comic of yours, I bet, among other things. Well old hat is good hat, so that's cool. Hope ya have lot's of fun (I'm totally not jealous)
Finally, we shall meet face to face! All according to prophecy... **evilgrin**
Er... yes, it'll be nice to actually chat with you in person after knowing you for, ah... **checks watch** Eighteen years, whereabouts?
It's literally right on my front door.
I should really go to one of these things.
