Nothing bonds ponies quite like a crisis. When Sombra has seemingly succeeded in taking over Equestria, Mrs. Shy takes refuge with Twilight Velvet as the two of them pray for the safety of their children.

Death and suicide/self harm tags are used only because they are themes in the story. No actual death or suicide/self harm occurs.

When Twilight Velvet is sick, her family comes in shifts to be with her. Shining Armor comes in the evenings. He's pretended everything is normal, as has his mother. But he's been so busy propping up the feelings of everypony else, he hasn't let his own feelings come out.

Today he changes that with a song.

The road to a good life is paved with hardship, and Shining Armor went through a lot of it- even some he didn't know about.

Until his mother told him about it today.
