Hopefully soon I will be cleaning up and expanding these snippets from a year and a half ago. One thing I can work on is characterization: making Celestia an angry bad ass while not butchering her character :
(censoring by me)
A Short Scene, in Which Princess Celestia is VERY Pissed Off, and Prepares to Kick Major Ass, with Twilight Sparkle Along for the Ride
It was the first one I finished, but the last to be approved, which is odd. Unfortunately it got completely buried this morning in the morning approval glut. I actually enjoyed writing it, and feel it's mildly funny in my classic absurd style. A return to form of sorts. It also is in the style of Bootsy Slickmane's "And Nothing Happens" stories, sort of.
Thanks guys. It really means a lot to me. My average is a new follower every .41 days; let's see If I can make that an average of 1-a-day in 2016. Here's to another 365!
Plus I finished up an old story yesterday and it got published today. Skywriter liked it. Go read it! Cadance in Eb Aeolian, a slice of life conversation between the pretty pink pony princess and Discord.
THAT'S RIGHT, A STORY I ACTUALLY ENJOYED WRITING AND DIDN'T FORCE MYSELF THROUGH. IF YOU LIKE MY COMEDIES, YOU WILL LIKE THIS STORY. IF YOU DONT'T LIKE MY COMEDIES, YOU STILL MAY LIKE THIS STORY; IT'S JUST THAT AMAZING. IT'S ALSO ONLY THE SECOND STORY I'VE WRITTEN WITH APPLEJACK AS A FOCUS CHARACTER. THE FIRST ONE IS ONE OF MY HIGHEST RATED STORIES SO YOU KNOW I MUST WRITE A GOOD APPLEJACK. YEEHAW! NOW, WITHOUT FURTHER ADO, GO READ
If you go down to the bottom of any Derpibooru page right now, you'll find an ad for this blog: The Worst Things For Sale.
Look I'm not going to take 15 minutes building a picture collage for it on this blog post. Just trust me when I say that the Amazon Marketplace is a beautiful weird, funny place. Do your self a solid and spend 5 minutes on the other end of that link. I've been amused for like 2 hours now.
Here together, moving as one:
two lost and lonely souls, just looking for fun.
We all want to believe it lasts forever,
Brighter than the sun, that we're the only ones.
We all want to believe it's getting better.
We're afraid to conceive that it could soon be done.
We're together, in each other's arms.
Dancing to a sad song, it's got a certain charm.
But I have you and you have me, we've got each other.
And that's enough to make it though the night.
Tears are filling up their glasses
No expression, no expression
Hide my head I wanna drown my sorrow
No tomorrow, no tomorrow
And I find it kind of funny
I find it kind of sad
The dreams in which I'm dying are the best I've ever had
I find it hard to tell you,
I find it hard to take
When people run in circles it's a very, very
Mad world, mad world

Context: as mentioned in my last blog, this is a story about a performance art contest.
Fluttershy was happy: a rare chance to express herself in a genuine way. That meant no one would know. Thus she wrote her last words upon a sticky note:
I've had a good life, but it is time for me to fly. Good luck with the contest
Then she burned the note with the lighter Rarity had left in her Prius that one time.
