Learning to Be

On the outside, Resolve appears to be a typical earth pony. However, after he is badly injured in a horrible accident, things don't go quite as planned with his recovery. This leads to a discovery that will completely change Resolve's life - in ways he never would have expected.

Every cloud has a silver lining.

Well, this is the first chapter of my first story. The idea for it has been floating around in my head for a while, so I finally got around to writing it down. Don't worry, this story is definitely going somewhere. Still, it will be a few more chapters before the shocking plot twist.

Also: expect small, infrequent updates! It took me about a month to get this chapter out. Maybe the others will be quicker. Maybe not.

Constructive criticism and spelling/grammar/awkward phrasing corrections are very welcome!

An intriguing first chapter. I'm looking forward to seeing where this goes. Judging by the reclusive, emotionally detached character with no real accomplishments aside from the arbitrary ones that he sets himself... I can guess that you're probably going to avoid the pitfalls of Mary Sue syndrome.

I'm adding this to favourites to see where it goes. I'm soon to be publishing an OC fic myself and I'd like to support others who are doing the same.

If there's anything I'd like to suggest, it's that you'd do well to find yourself a cover image and add some characters to your list. I know you have good intentions by adding them as they become part of the story, but it's not something that will work in your favor.
