1835013 Well, I try to write the ponies, as they are depicted by the show itself and in a way it seems logical, going from that and if they behave differently by far, I put a reason into the story, as I left a little, tiny hint for the reader to understand why they acted that way.

Understandable, I try that as well. To show an character in ways not supported by canon is to make an OC that bears their name.
