She never stood a chance against Celestia. Little wonder why she despises her.
Yay another installment of "Star Sparkle Is A Total Fuckup And Her Herd's Fucked Up Too"!
This herd makes such a refreshing contrast against Lero's, as an example of dysfunctional herding.
She's an awful individual on every level and I want nothing more than to see it all crash down on her and hard.
Why do I have empathy for her?
Was she really just being irrational due to her heat or did she maybe, deep down, really did want another foal, and hopefully, a chance for a do over after what happened with Twilight?
Maybe seeing Indy being buried with no one to cry to her but Star herself had a bigger impact on her than she's willing to admit.
Great chapter, I loved her audience with the Princess.
Happy new year!
She's really a mess, isn't she? I don't even feel any active dislike for Star anymore, just a sort of detached pity.
Just had a silly thought, there is a chance that Star comes back from an exhibition only to find Twilight a princess. She keeps missing big important moments like this it is bound to happen.
I love your interpretation of Star Sparkle, it always shows how self-defeating she is as a character. It makes her that much more believable, even tho her actions seem so extreme. I personally feel sorry for her because her defense mechanisms also deprives her of the things she really needs.
She's pretty much the ideal character for long-term emotional development leading to redemption and acceptance.
When this story is finished, I'm going to have to reread it from the start, just so I have a snowball's chance in hell of understanding it
Another fantastic chapter! Once again your portrayal of star sparkle is amazing!
Well, this has been languishing unread for far too long. Glad I finally caught up. Star is such a fascinating character. So covetous of what she doesn't have, so disdainful of what she already does. Eagerly looking forward to more, whenever it may come.

Damn Celestia, maybe banish her to the moon next to cool off from that burn?
Fantastic yarn and magnificently written. One of the best I've read so far. Looking forward to the next one already!
I really hope this continues one day. This character is just too fascinating to leave unfinished.
6722841 Working on it, just had a lot on my plate recently. Thanks for the comments!
