Introduction

Hundreds of years ago in the land of Equestria, the young mare Princess Celestia is inside Cantelot Castle with her mentor, Star Swirl the Bearded. The two were walking and discussing about Star Swirl's greatest discovery.

"Are you positive Star Swirl?" she asked, astonished about an information he gave her, "it's impossible to believe that other worlds exists."

"Do believe, Celestia," the magical stallion replied, "I've been doing a lot of studying on this matter. I would love to study more about the other universes and how it's possible to cross them," The two started walking downstairs to enter his secret lab that's hidden inside the castle. "think about it. If I'm willing to learn everything about these universes, we may be" -he opened the door that lead into his lab- "able to jump to universes to universes!" he explained. Celestia followed him in the room with a bit of interest showing on her face. Star Swirl turned and looked at her, "I want you to help me with this project."

"Me?!" she said in shock, "well, I don't know," she started to feel uncertain. She looked downwards at the ground "with my sister being so distant, it's difficult for me to really keep up with my schedules," a single tear rolled down her face, "I just wish that she can talk to me." Seeing her cry made Star Swirl feel guilty, but he kept his hopes up. He wrapped his hoof around her to comfort her.

"No need to be downcast, Celestia. I'm concerned over Luna as well as you. I'm sure we'll get her to revert back to her normal self."

"I will do my utmost duty to keep it only between you and me, Star Swirl," she bowed her head, accepting his request. Star Swirl smiled.

"Good, then let us begin." He smiled at her.

Months after Dr. Eggman was defeated by Sonic, he's been laying low working on his next diabolical plan. He's in his fortress that's kilometers away from Sonic's home. The fortress is surrounded by thick heavy walls, the search lights is filling up the night sky, and is heavily guarded by his Egg Pawns. Inside his fortress, he's sitting in front of his big screen monitor while typing in something.

"Ever since the time I discovered that dimensions exists," he noted, "I've been wondering if there are other worlds that exists as well," Eggman pushed himself back in his rolling chair. He rolled his way over to a window to look at a strange device that's holding a blue Chaos Emerald. "If I'm able to use the Chaos Emeralds in this machine, I should be able to create a gateway to different stars and planets," he added on. "Who knows what I'll discover, but it would be possible for me to collide both worlds together and rule over all! Ho, ho, ho!" he laughed. When things seemed to be a calm night, his alarm went off. "Hm?" Orbot and Cubot rolled in the room and hatched themselves in front of Eggman.

"Boss, I believe that Shadow is here to make a grand entry." Orbot informed him.

"Shadow?!" Eggman was shocked. He quickly rusheed over to his computer and turned his camera on. Orbot was right, Shadow is blasting through his Egg Pawns, "Why is he here?" he growled.

"Shadow, do you copy?" Rouge asked in Shadow's earpiece.

"Loud and clear," he responded, "I'm going in hot." He continued to rush through the enemies, destroying them in the process.

"He's going through everything!" Eggman yelled.

"Look at it this way, boss. At least it's not Sonic this time," Orbot stated, "You had wish for Sonic to stop ruining your plans. Now it will be Shadow taking his shoes," he added on with a sarcastic remark.

"Oh, shut up!" Eggman scolded "lockdown everything in the facility before-" he was interrupted by an explosion behind him. He turned around and saw Shadow had broke through the wall with his pure strength. He managed to get himseof inside the same room where the Chaos Emerald is resting at, "Drats!"

"Wow! He's really good." Cubot complimented with Orbot nodding his head in agreement.

"What are you planning on doing with the Emerald, Doctor?" Shadow questioned. Eggman chortle while looking at the hedgehog.

"Greetings, Shadow. What a pleasant surprise to see you. I half expected it to be Sonic," he said, while pacing back and forth with his hand intertwined behind him "how do you like my newest creation? I call it, the" -he raised both his hands im the air- "the Master System reactor!" Orbor and Cubot looked at each other, "with this device, I will be able to travel across to many universes through time and space. With all Emeralds collected, I'll be able to converge both worlds into one and rule all."

"That's only if the plan goes through and doesn't fail." Orbot commented. Eggman pressed a button that was nearby. A loud humming noises started from the reactor. Shadow frantically looked around, puzzled.

"Now that you're here, Shadow. Why don't you be my test dummy?" Eggman said.

"You idiot!" Shadow chided, "if you do that, then the entire world will collapse!"

"That's the point," he replied "once the world collapse, then I'll be able to rewrite history to the way I invision it." A portal opens up in the middle of the room from the reactor. It was pulling Shadow inside. Shadow was doing the best he can to escape from it, but it was too powerful for him to escape it.

"Shoot!" Shadow yelled.

"Shadow! Is everything okay?! What's going on over there?!" Rouge yelled in his earpiece, worried of his safety. The portal lifted him off his feet. Before he was entirely sucked in, he grabs onto one of the console, then looked at the Chaos Emerald. With a bit of struggle, he did his best to reach for it, i. Hopes to shut the reactor off, but it was too late. Shadow is pulled into the portal.

"Ho, ho, ho, ho!" Eggman laughs at his success, as the portal closes and the humming noise was dying down. Meanwhile, Rouge is trying her best to get in contact with Shadow.

"Hey, Shadow, what's going on over there?! Do you read me-" she's interrupted by his earpiece making static noises. "Shadow?! Shadow!" She cried out, believing that something horrible had happened to him.

Thank you guys for reading! I've always wanted to become an author and write my own story. I decided that my first story should be a crossover of MLP and Sonic the Hedgehog, since I love both series. I have not watched MLP after the series concluded, which lead into me forgetting a lot that happened. I watched a couple of seasons to get a refresher and to come up with some ideas. Not only had I watched the show, I also read the comics to expand my ideas. I'm really nervous of how this story will progress, but my goal is to make this the BEST MLP and Sonic crossover anyone has read. I'm really excited to read feedback from everyone!
