Sunny couldn't remember when Maretime Bay was ever this hustling, bustling, and almost chaotic.
Unicorn and pegasus tourists were coming and leaving every day, every single local business was booming, and Maretime Bay Day, the town's biggest annual event, was getting closer by the day. Hitch had encouraged anypony with available rooms to consider renting them out to visitors, due to it being highly unlikely that construction on the several new hotels on the outskirts of town would be finished in time for the celebration.
True to Pipp's word, a trio of pegasi fluent in livestreaming arrived to aid Sunny in realizing her dream for CanterLove Studios. Ruddy Sparks oversaw all public performances at the castle, and Arpeggia and Fretlock were two out of three members of Electric Blue, a popular rock band from Zephyr Heights. All three of them were looking forward to helping the mare bring livestreaming to Maretime Bay.
Due to the vastly increased demand of her smoothies, along with her ongoing supply chain issues, Sunny was only able to open her cart for about two hours a day around lunch, and was otherwise free to oversee the reorganizing of the former factory.
"Livestreaming can be a very daunting hobby, even more so if one decides to pursue it as a career," Fretlock told her as the four of them walked through the front concourse of the large building. "Ideally we'd like to make starting out as easy as possible. Some streamers like to do it alone, keeping complete creative control, and others do best in groups, as they work off of each other. It would probably be best to cater to both groups."
"I noticed plenty of office space on the second and third floors, and we may want to keep some of those as they are, for staff to be able to manage equipment rentals and maintenance," Ruddy suggested. "Even if we can't give all of your potential clients separate rooms, we should try and offer them streaming spaces that are as sound-proof and private as possible."
"What about as big as possible?" A new voice asked, as they heard hoofsteps come up behind them. The four of them turned and saw Zipp step up to them with a light smile. The three pegasi offered courteous bows, while Sunny returned the smile.
"We do have some fairly large spaces we could stream in," Sunny began. "You have anything in mind, Zipp?"
"Yeah, you could say that. I've been thinking of how to approach flying lessons. Teaching every single pegasus face-to-face would take up absolutely insane amounts of time, so I think the best way is to film the basics and put them online so pegasi can access them on-demand, and then, if the need arises, offer in-person sessions at a premium."
"I'll get you the largest space we can, we'll move it to the top of the list of priorities," Sunny told her friend. "We can make that the first test of our capabilities. Just let us know how you want it set up."
"Just big, open, good lighting will do fine, thanks. No rush, please. I don't want you to be multitasking like crazy, Sunny. I know once pegasi get flying down and Hitch lifts the flight ban, your smoothie supply issues will be solved thanks to Fifi," Zipp replied.
"Alright, we won't go crazy. But I would like to be pretty hooves-off with this place once things are up and running. So if I were you, I'd start getting that list of basics ready, because we could be ready for you in a matter of days,"
Zipp gave her friend a nod.
"I can be ready in a few days, thanks Sunny."
Again, you did a great job on the dialogue, characterizations and future chapter set-up. Liked the discussion of the work to get CanterLove Studios up and running as well as Zipp making a plan to use Pipp's live-streaming service to teach as many Pegasi at least the basics of flight as possible. Rather smart thinking (of course Adaptational Intelligence seems to be a welcome recurring theme for this series).
Definitely looking forward to more of this.
That's actually a pretty interesting idea
Okay so it looks like everything is according to plan especially with Maretime Bay day is coming up and it looks like they already have a couple of special guests coming in especially checking out the new building for streamers and apparently zipp having an idea to make her own to help Pegasus to fly properly which that's pretty good I wonder how this will work out guess we'll find out next time
I can't wait to see the how the live streaming in CanterLove it's going to be so great when it's done and Zipp have some ideas for the flight school?! (Star eyes and squeal with excitement) Now this i got to see.
Might want to either swap out the "unlikely" or the "would not". Otherwise, it sounds like construction would be finished on time.
Yeah.
Been reading this story more or less from day one, and I've always enjoyed it. I can't really think of anything else to say that commenters in general haven't said already, so keep up the good work.
Sure must be a lot to go through.
For a moment there, I was confused. I thought Zipp was asking for a gymnasium-like room to teach in-person flight lessons. Took me a while to realize that she actually plans to film herself show off basic flight skills, and she wants the studio because the recording equipment and Wi-Fi will be conveniently there.
About the only way this goes wrong is if Zipp doesn't quite grasp what counts as the basics. She did open the flight lesson in the TYT episode by asking if anyone could perform an actual flight stunt.

Sounds like a very busy, hectic lunch time.

You can say that again.
I dunno... I would think that Sunny should maybe have said "I'm the boss, and part of being the boss is delegating. Flight lessons are an urgently needed safety thing for Zephyr Heights, and Zipp is an order of magnitude more capable than her nearest competitor. Trust each of you. Make this happen.
"You need to rip out some walls to allow even the basics to be properly taught? Consider trotting the cameras out to a field outside city limits and back every sunny day. If that won't cut it, tear out those walls.
"Worried about the budget? Your instructor is a Princess, no, wait, the CROWN Princess, and this is a safety issue for Zephyr Heights. Talk to Queen Haven."

Sunny isn't really the type to bark orders like J. Jonah Jameson. And I had that impression before too, but I don't think Zipp wants the indoor venue to do in-person lessons. Just to record some How To's. In fact, there's very little reason to use recording and broadcasting equipment for in-person lessons (unless Zipp wants the footage for advertising, but I think that's the furthest thing from her mind).
Sure, an outdoor setting might be better even for just the How To's. But at that point, she'd just borrow her sister and ask her to use her smartphone, just like the opening of Chapter 1 when they were plugging Maretime Bay Day (of course, then Pipp would obsess over production values and Zipp's onstream persona, and Zipp would want NONE of that).

I was assuming that no personal lessons would be involved. I just was pointing out that the matter seems at least somewhat urgent, and Sunny's availability doesn't HAVE to hold things up necessarily. There are experts in their respective fields and a source of funds (if needed).
I agree that Sunny is leadership style is hardly authoritarian, but telling someone "you know better than me, do what your conscience and expertise tell you" could be seen as the opposite of authoritarian...
Still doesn't PRECISELY fit her usually, but this might qualify as an unusual enough situation for her to adapt for this one issue?
