An engineer transplanted from Earth tries to take his work with him to Equestria, but it's a mare's world here, and he's not taken seriously. Teaming up with a purple alicorn gives him a shot at making his dreams a reality.
I still think it’s kinda weird how talk of BlueBloods punishment is happening. They don’t have any actual evidence on him. The mares confession could be fake and was also done under distress. If this happened in the US in an unbiased court who didn’t have the readers omnicent context he’d probably be found not guilty or even innocent. Further more Anon committed a crime with the guard watching and doing nothing which is pretty fucked. I know BB’s the bad guy but the justice around this is pretty off putting.
10015207 Well he also basically admitted to it to Anon. They also exist in a world with magic, and possibly the ability to compel truth (or at least detect lies). Remember, the right to not testify against yourself may not exist in a magical absolute monarchy.
10015207 To be fair, using the US as a benchmark in this context is like comparing apples to oranges. In a traditional monarchy, if a noble is causing a problem, an expendable noble no less, then the natural course of action is to get rid of the offender, regardless of evidence or circumstance.
Also, they do have evidence. Back in an earlier chapter (I forget which one exactly) it's stated that Blueblood, has explicitly ordered one of his subordinates to withold Anon's order. This made its way into the record, thereby leaving a paper trail, which was explicitly stated in the story. I know it's not the exact event you're referring to, but it's still illegal. Additionally, given the aforementioned, it wouldn't be a far stretch to assume that he showed a similar lack of care when it came to hiring the filly, especially if he delegated the task. This, potentially, could have also lead to the formation of a paper trail.
As for your point about Anon himself committing a crime, I don't actually know what you're referring to. The closest I can think of off-hand is him sneaking around the palace at night. Given that he had the blessing of both the resident monarchs to do so, it's not really illegal. They have the full freedom to give this right as well, since not only are they the owners of the palace, but are also monarchs who are quite literally the law.
She’s laughing with you, quieter. “Honestly, for someone who’s so capable of leaps of intuition, you are too often distracted beyond reason. Considering what I know you’re capable of, you miss some of the most blatant things.”
They’re apparently in a lull in the argument, because they’re angrily discussing things with their eyes instead of their voices. “Hey. Uh. You two. Shut up for a sec. Er, continue being shut up. Get over here.”

10015693 Obviously you also have alot of knowledge on history, which you show by accurately depicting traditional monarchy. There are far to few who posses such a understanding, one I believe is quite valuable, and your comment therefore is very refreshing to see
Also I believe the crime they are referring to is him breaking the door knob, which as you said the royals have good grace towards the human, and he would be pardoned(assuming it falls under vandalism or such, and assuming they have laws against vandalism, which I imagine they would) , if something so trivial were even brought up at all. Which considering it is the castle of the princesses, not the nobles, it probably wouldn't even be mentioned. Which is why it isn't. So still, your argument remains 100% sound
Celestia gives you a deep nod and reaches her head out to touch her nose to yours for the briefest moment, before returning to Twilight. She copies her sister’s earlier gestures, but her movements are more graceful and refined, with a bit of a theatrical flourish.
Ya know must people would take this multiple relations concept and write like some harem either for real or comedy, but you actually built something real with it. I like it. Very very well done. The whole different love for different people, yet neither love nor person lesser nor any more favored than the other, is a very deep, very mature concept that I very much enjoy seeing in your work.
Ya know many people get after the Mormons for their prior polygamy in their early days, but I honestly believe this is the spirit of love the had or tried to have when they instituted it. Not saying I would be all right suddenly being in a situation of polygamy. I'm an exclusivity person 100%, but I can at least understand others who tried to attain something good. Because as you show its not always bad. It in fact represents a deeper, more mature nature. One less selfish, less petty, more noble, and selfless. It is unfortunate that 90% of the people who advocate or practice it today do so for their own selfish desires, when it is in itself not inherently so. Just as sex is inherently beautiful, but often used the the villest, most evil of ways(rape) Or like the idea of collective property is not inherently evil. Nor is the idea of private property. Both however require an overseer of humans that are often corrupt and prone to weakness. It is not the idea that is evil, but some of the people who use it to gain their own ends. Communism, with collectivism its central concept, believes the idea of capitalism is prone to evil. This is true. But so is communism. The fact is if people were perfect neither would exist. We would all make we need and no one would want. But thats impossible. Still, we should change the people not the idea, for ita the people, bot the idea that is the problem. However I admit commusium requires a absolute government and such government in a corrupt world filled with such people is far worse than most other forms of goverment. Democracy may have its issues but its system prevents corruption of people from overtaking the entirety of society, as it has in every communist gov(which aren't really Communist because true communism is physically impossible and only works in a perfect world)
Phew. Enough philosophy and major off topic rants for today. What a word dump I did
”Justice fell harsher, in the time of her and her sister, long ago. Heroes dealt with threats in a manner that, if not permanent, at least lasted a long time. Those normally involved much more chronic and severe wrongdoing, however.”
”Ah, you mean her clever contrivances of rehabilitation. You asked of punishment, so I answered with such. What you speak of now is healing, of individuals or of a community. These means she seeks to implement out of an understanding of those who wronged and who suffered for it. Do not mistake this for an overabundance of mercy. With sufficient wisdom, one can display both compassion and justice at once, and deliver verdicts that satisfy the injured while helping the wrongdoer walk a new path. This way she may heal two, instead of one.”
”It’s funny, Raven. You taught me a lot of what I needed to know, before I left for the Crystal Empire. I was the learner, but now I’m the master. Let me teach you what you’ll need to know.”
