Years in the future, Twilight Sparkle, now the sole ruler of Equestria, struggles with trying to give her friends a send-off that she deems worthy. She soon finds that this may be an impossible task.

Kind of has a similar feel to Hyperexponential's story Forever Young, but with an ending more suitable to match the cannon material.
It does make you wonder though. Just how long would a character like Twilight dwell on losing those that made her everything she was.
