Okay now that I've gave a question, time to comment about the chapter. I like how Marius is really good with children, you really don't expect that from a vampire. And as for Celestia, it's just as I thought, she got her ass kicked and regretted attacking him later.

And I personally think that Marius is a little biased when it comes to humans. You got to look at it from humanities point of view. They were being attacked by undead being that considered them nothing more than "cattle." So obviously they are going to do everything they can to protect themselves

I know I'm a bit late, but so far I find this story very enjoyable. If you'd allow me the comparison to Hellsing (yes, I realize you try to distance this fic from Hellsing, but it just works well.) I see a lot of the good Alexander Anderson, of all people, in Marius. They're both fighters (with bladed weapons) at heart. Furthermore, they seem to like children. And, they carry a certain sense of justice and hate for corrupted and powerhungry people in their black hearts. The main difference I see, is that Marius seems to be very devoted to protecting, especially his Master, which actually resembles the Count's creed more, while Anderson is devoted to his god and his mission.

I can only assume the other one who can survive that attack is his friend, which im assuming means he's also a Vampire, which makes me wonder what happened to him
