Honestly, a man could get sick as hell if every single person who reads his story compares his original character to one that everyone knows and is popular, but maybe that's just me. And considering how much I love lycans, I feel really sorry for them when they have to go up against him. And speaking of Marius, I what to know since he's your character. Who would win in a fight? Marius or Alucard? And sorry Chain, but my vote would go to Alucard.

So lets see if I've got how things stand at the moment:

Marius appears to be slowly going insane (or at the very least something is fucking with his head just like it did with his magic), he's got his first target for rebuilding his army of vampire minions, and the lycans are afflicted with, what appears to be, a terminal case of megalomania.

Also, since someone mentioned Marius "finding peace" or whatever in a previous comment, this better not end with him actually dying, or becoming mortal, or anything like that. He's an immortal vampire king dating the immortal princess of the night. It seriously doesn't get any more perfect than that.

1597736 Just making sure . For some reason there are a lot of writers, published and otherwise, that seem to think a random bittersweet ending is a good idea. I've only ever read two or three stories with endings like that where I really felt like they fit; that any other ending would have been the wrong one.

Anyway, yeah. I forgot to put this in my previous post, so I'll put it here: I really liked this chapter. Yeah, it didn't have Marius in it, but the back story and development of the Lycans was not only necessary, but also interesting and well done. So kudos to you. I will continue to, as always, look forward to the next chapter.

I might have missed it in a previous chapter, but just a question; these ponies of Equestria are kind, forgiving, and very open-minded about others, especially after the Zecora incident. So what stops the Lyncans from befriending other pony civilizations? Who, pray tell, screwed up the peace negotiations between the two empires?

1597769 They've never met. Up 'till now, for thousands of years they had gone unnoticed. The Lycan's pride make them unable to live peacefully with Equestrians, due to their pride making them want the country for their own. Since they consider themselves the older race due to their human ancestors, and they think that they are entitled to the land once known as Alon' Dar (Equestria).

1597769 I can think of 3 reasons why they might not get along with the regular ponies:

1) They're carnivores. The only other known sentient, carnivorous races in Equestria that I can think of are the dragons and the griffins, and the ponies (at least in fanon) have strained relations with both groups at the best of times.

2) The lycans have a bit of a superiority complex going on. They don't seem like the type to just live along side other ponies because of that innate sense of being "superior".

3) They're shapeshifters and, just like the Changelings, that makes ponies nervous. Equestria relies heavily on the concept of trust and shapeshifters are pretty much the very definition of something they can't inherently trust.

Ok. A summary of my full analysis

This is very well written (with a VERY small amount of grammar errors and repeated/unnessisary words present), descriptions are well done (were a little bland in the first 2 chapters, but you really hit your stride by chapter 4), and characterizations were pretty much top notch. The gore descriptions are disgustingly exquisite (not to much to be ridiculous, but not to little to be plain), and the intimate bits between characters are well crafted (Even the sex scene, which in the hands of even mediocre writers, let alone sub-par or terrible ones, would come off as gratuitous). What you wrote actually has a good sense of passion and beauty in regards to the nature of these acts of love and lust, even though the controversy of interspecies relations can make more than a few people uncomfortable (and a few others downright angry). The pacing is well done, and it's never a dull moment, whether it be just a normal(ish) day for our hero and heroins or an action fueled extravaganza. I am a little worried that the controversy of some of the imagery and ideas you are bringing forth might end up falling flat (even just a little, which COULD ruin the entire story in the end), but you seem to have some decent control over it and have a fair idea to know when you might end up drawing the line (just be VERY careful not to cross it).

Side note; The intermission was also highly entertaining in it's very innocent goofiness.

I am glad I've decided to sit down and read what you have, and I look forward to more. You set a bar in quality with this fic. DON'T disappoint, now... Which means, if you need to take your time with it to make the next chapter just as good, or better, then by all means do so.
