I like how thoroughly Sunset is responding to the situation and adore the aura of 'pressure' that permiates around these two characters.
Additionally the way in which the former deals with the problem is indeed reminscent of real life. All too often friends of rape victims want to castrate the rapist and, while they eventually understand, they initially do not comrpehend why the victim does not want to do the same.
The way you addressed this is, as i have said prior, thorough. It helps to understand the intenity of the situation and Sunset's expense rambling adds to that touch of reality.
Well done.
Ah, here we are. Sunset's appearance of Knowing What She's Doing clearly wasn't all it appeared to be... and yet having this little look inside her head makes me even more confident that she does, despite all the pain that she's holding and all these things she'll need to do, know what she's doing. At least as much as she needs to right now, and in situations like these, that's got to be enough.
Also, I'm curious what sort of a role any of the other Mane 7 will have in this story, if any. Not sure if foreshadowing or just colouring in the world :P
This chapter just cements it.

”a hundred bits says he's going to say something along the lines of 'she didn't say no,' and double or nothing if the following statement is 'you're right she didn't say anything',"
Can Sunset use her powers to channel memories into other people?
If so, she could make the guy feel what Wallflower felt that night.
And now we get Sunset’s thoughts on the situation. This chapter really ties everything together so we can get a better understanding of how Sunset feels later on. To me, it wasn’t boring. Some people might think that though. Just, wow, how do you do it? I can’t write a whole chapter with hardly no dialogue. That’s a compliment by the way!

That’s clever! Although, the fact that Sunset swore to not go near the guy complicates it.
This one was a breather in comparison to other chapters, but I get the feeling it's just the calm before the storm...
If this was any other fic, I'd squee internally from the mention of a "comforter."
Sunset Shimmer: I watch you when you sleep sometimes, and by 'sometimes' I mean 'most of the time.'
Sunslept Shimmer.
Curious that Sunset Shimmer thinks ahead to hypothetical plot-points of the legal hula-hoops involved in assault cases.
The sad reality is that most shiet like this is likely dealt with *years* after the fact or--perhaps--not dealt with at all.
Just how does Sunset get moniez, anyway?
Nifty of yousa to address the financial strain of Sunset's generosity. Sobering that it has to dawn on her at some point *after* she boldly pledges a close friend her support.
SUNSET DIDN'T WALLY-PROOF HER HOME
Requesting a fic where Sunset from EqG meets Pearl from SU and they both try to out-mommy each other.
Friendly counsel seems tough.
Bad Flash. Bad. No Leisure-Suit-Larrying for you.
Of course, Rarity assumes the worst... or the wankiest.
Yaaaaaaaaay... Rarity knows boundaries.
Filler chapter is filler, but it puts us in the mind of the most important person in Wallflower's life right now (beside herself). I suppose it's good to show us this side of a situation such as this, as well as to set the framework for how the rest of the story may or may not pan out. F'naa.
That she is
Makes me wonder about her own past with these things, and it shows, why she is so adapt at taking precautions. I'm just sad Sunny had to go through this herself in that universe.
Well... there's always Equestria, if Wallflower needs a place to stay.
Ugh. This story is painfully excellent in all ways. It's too good!
The brutal honesty in this story is poignant... and painful.
Caregiver burnout/compassion fatigue is very, very real, and it's going to hit Sunset like a freight train, no matter how aware she might be of it. This is a big undertaking. A good, noble, righteous undertaking, but still far too much for one person to handle.
Good thinking, Sunny. Even if you can't fully tell them what's going on, I'm sure they'd be willing to help.
They're your friends, Sunny. This situation isn't easy by any means, but I'm sure they would be able to at least provide Wally with a little company or bring some groceries over or something without needing a play-by-play.
Gah, Sunset's conflicted thought process is so real it hurts. Just like this story. And I'm loving every second of it so far.
And if he told what happened as an anecdote to his friends, would any object? Would any want to, but not find the courage? Would any want to, but minimize it in their heads, because to them he's such a normal guy, surely they're misinterpreting it? Or would nothing amiss even cross their minds at all? The banality of such monstrosity is horrifying to realize.
It’s so understandable why someone wouldn’t want to get that system involved, in the face of that balance. And even in the best case scenario, as good as it would be to know that future victims would be spared, it would not in any way undo what had happened. The cruelty of it all is hard to face.
Goddess forbid, indeed.
As petty as my comment is in this moment, it does give me a bit of joy to see my Flash x Nobody OTP here, as well as to see that lesbian Sunset is officially incontrovertible Canon.
Sunset is taking on so much here, all of a sudden. I hope she does find out that it is okay to ask her friends for aid. Of course Wallflower shouldn’t be alone in facing all of the awfulness that has happened to her and will continue to, but neither should Sunset be alone in helping her through it.
