Flamecano Island -
Gauntlet of Fire? I was hoping that it was the volcano where Dragon Migration took place.
That was a wild ride. Can't wait for the next chapter.
I feel like in god damn anime the suspense is killing me. Good chapyer can't wait for the next one.

I was expecting the tree with the phoenix nest.
Ok, I've had enough keeping silent: SERIOUS F***ING PROBLEM!!!! You CAN'T change testimony or ignore testimony without SERIOUS implications. In fact, in almost ALL cases, changing testimony, like in police interrogations, is taken as either PROOF that the person is an unreliable witness, where their testimony must be stricken from the record, OR proof that they are intentionally lying, and CAN be used as evidence that they are guilty!
So NO, Garble should NOT be allowed to give contradicting testimony after contradicting testimony AFTER he's been proved to be lying, ESPECIALLY WITHOUT allowing the defence to show those contradictions!
But in thinking about it, I've never played the games this was based on ("Phoenix lawyer", or something like that) so I don't know if they allow lies to be omitted from the record WITHOUT destroying someone's credibility, but I'm having a hard time believing that.

Where really began to demoralize the world of Garble because Spike and Ember were the ones who took the scepter of the Dragon Lord, so Garble was denied in his destiny and cursed, because it ended with Spike was to remove this curse.
On the migration he met, but it was in the Gauntlet of Fire where their rivalry began.
9302006
Garble would not be a reliable witness, any version he gave Ash himself would not tolerate these lies and stopped defending Garble because he tried a little just each version of the factor he believed less, he would be arrested for obstruction of justice .. since playing is based on the game "Phoenix lawyer" believe all guilty was the witness.
9302184
Obstruction of Justice! That's what I was trying to think of! And yeah, it's VERY unrealistic, but I didn't expect it to be, and I've never played the games, but I DO know that the game is based on the Japanese court system (which, in my opinion, is one of the worst modern court systems in the world) , and it takes place in a magical land with unicorns, dragons, and ruling princesses (literally a rank 1 position with the title of a rank 2 position) , so I gave it as much slack as I could and held back until the end of the trial... though it was kinda BS that Garble could've overpowered all the guards like that

The really silly thing is that Garble's testimony is immaterial, or at least it would be in any kind of sane trial. Remember that the trial was about Rarity assaulting Ember. Nothing Garble has said has added to or taken away from that. Once Spike finishes rescuing Rarity from her outlaw dragon captor, he'll have to get right back to rescuing her from her *lawful* dragon captors.
Assuming, of course, that burning down the courtroom doesn't invalidate the trial. Anything seems to go in Dragon Land.
9303821
technically yes, it was immaterial, but technically not, since the whole trial was based upon the evidence he put forth, which the defense proved was manipulated into be biased towards his side, (here's an example of a single image being cropped to give two biased viewpoints) and the point of going after him was to prove that he had the motive and means to set up that biased picture.
But I agree, it probably should've been done in a separate court, but that's assuming that's not allowed in Japanese courts, since I only have knowledge on the american court system
celestia and luna better be there to take master ash under arrest for his crimes, he better not get off just because of all the drama.
9303697
actually the games not even based solely on the Japanese court system but a altered future system where all trials have to end in 3 days, i played the game once and it was infuriating.
9303821
you do remember that her *lawful* dragon captors arrested her in a completely illegal fashion and without going through any political ties well marching an army into another countries borders right? there's nothing lawful about anything the dragon-lands has done and i'm seriously hoping master ash ends up losing his titles and privileges for his actions along with jail time.
9304062
Yeah, I've been banging on about that earlier in the comments.
But on the subject of Ash himself, he did nothing wrong. He was acting on behalf of his country. It's his country that did something wrong by employing him as it did. It's Dragon Land (or whatever it's called) as a political entity that needs to make restitution or face justice, not Ash as an individual. That could involve punishing Ash to make the Equestrians feel good, but would more likely involve paying some kind of tribute as compensation and signing some sort of binding treaty not to do this anymore. After all, when all is said and done, a country is going to continue to need people to carry out it's needs and punishing them for it leads to stability issues. No country wants that.
9304223
except he himself made the conscious choice to ignore political communications and the sovereignty of equestria to make the arrest, they make it implicitly clear that was his choice to march an army into equestrian soil to make an arrest they didn't have the authority to make. ash is at much at fault for this as the country.
i'd also point out that in this rial itself he's gone as far as to imply that absolute facts do not matter if they contradict his case, up until the end he really didn't care about the truth.
Hopefully the next chapter doesn't take too long.
9305212
As long as the Dragon Lands choose to honor his actions by providing legal sanction, they're liable for his actions. When he dragged Rarity away, the Dragon Lands had two choices. They could accept his actions on their behalf or reject them. They chose to accept them and now everything he did is their fault. If they didn't want that responsibility they should've clapped him in irons and handed him over instead of letting him play lawyer at their big show trial.
Everything he has done has been under the aegis of his own sovereign nation. When I say, "he has done nothing wrong," it is from the perspective of his own country. He remains a citizen in good standing and of unimpeachable character.
9305587
doesn't mean equestria can't push to take him to stand trial, the fact that this trial failed makes his position worse for him in that they'll need a scapegoat for everything, and garble;e can't really count seeing as the likelihood is he'll be an entirely different mess.
9305607
That's true enough. Celestia and Luna need to do something to make people forget about their inability to prevent a bunch of dragons from kidnapping a national hero right out from under them. Nabbing Ash would do the job. And if the Powers that Be in Dragonland want him as a scapegoat, that would kill two birds with one stone. After that, this whole shameful mess could be swept under the carpet, hopefully never to be looked at again.
Even after this Garble issue will be over very soon, what will be the state of the fallout for Spike, Rarity and Ember of this complex relationship?
