nice work
Despite being in the "right" and making good points.
You must really love to have Sunset rub into their faces over a 50th time, huh?
Good choice to help him with his growth.
I know this feels weird to ask. But does Sunset eventually makes a very bad mistake or error for once?
Sure, she is this know-it-all that always in the right, doesn't make a mistake, and makes some good points. But no offense, but it kind of seems mary sue-ish to some people.
While I am not one of those people that always accuse an OC, or even your interpretation of a canon character like Sunset to be mary sue-ish.
But, considering the fact on how Sunset is acting all the time to others, and doesn't even make a mistake or even get consequences on herself for once? This certainly kind of lean towards that.
And even though sometimes, the Mane Six or Celestia don't have an excuse either for their many screw ups. But, isn't Sunset on the same boat with them sometimes? And ironically, she doesn't even get karma for it like the rest!?
Because, I actually do have to agree with other commenters like MPony1 and Mr Lore miser that some of Sunset's punishment to the guilty pony/person seems way too harsh, or even way too far to be deserved. And there should be heavy consequences against Sunset being too harsh for once.
No one/nopony is actually perfect, NOT even Sunset.

With how I,m following the episodes to make it easier to write. Once a plot comes up that Sunset can mess up, it will happen. Have an episode in mind I can do it when it comes up

But two of them did come up much earlier in the story. But my main focus is on the one involving a pony in a dog show. That one never got properly resolve let alone look deeply into.

He's right you know. No one is perfect and without flaws and Sunset is far from perfect.
Sure, she makes powerful and compelling arguments and presents powerful evidence that only help support all her claims. Because there's no way anyone can argue back against her. She shows off the problems and points out the ways to make things much better and, in the end, the results speak for itself.
Sunset has shown time and time again. How she takes the time to investigate the issues. Gather all the facts before doing anything. This is how she's been dealing with major issues.
Take the problem with the Buffalos and Appaloosa.
Though there's still the issue that Pinkie was only trying to help, by telling everyone to share, but I digress. The thing is that she did take the time to fully assess the situation before doing anything and I highly respect Sunset for it.
But there's one time when Sunset didn't do that at all, and you know exactly what I'm talking about.
The issue that Rarity tried to steal from the Diamond Dogs.
This is the one time that she did not give a proper investigation. She just learns that Rarity was on the DD's land, digging up their gems, which is why she was taken.
But no one. Not the DD's nor Sunset even bother to give Rarity a chance to explain things. No trial was given.
There are plenty of evidence that led to the possibility that Rarity, hell, Ponyville didn't know about the DD's living so close. Sunset knows that Ponyville get too spook when dealing with other races, and the DD's never visited Ponyville until after the mess with Rarity.
So, in conclusion. Unless they prove that Rarity was purposely trying to steal from the DD's. Then all they can do is let her go with a warning and the DD's need to fence off their land somehow. Just like farmers do. Because how the hell is anyone supposed to know that this is your land if you don't mark the land itself?
A map alone isn't good enough. Because anybody could just walk on through the land and not think twice that it belongs to someone, unless you properly mark your territory. So, the DD's have no right to complain. Because their land is literally inside Equestrian territory, and they live deep underground.
But none of these obvious issues never once crossed Sunset's mind and she just left Rarity to suffer a punishment that she no doubt didn't deserve.
Every time I see Rarity and Sunset together in some form or way in future chapters. I always wondered if Rarity ever brought up the issue with DD's to her and if she did. Did Sunset even bother to listen. Like OP said. Sunset is too much of a know-it-all and believes she's always right, never once made a mistake, and will never get punished.
I'm sorry but that girl needs to learn that she indeed made mistakes in the past and need to be punished for them.

Aren’t you writing your own take of what should had happen
11670511
Yeah, and I still need to rework chapter one a bit before continuing.
11670511
But despite that. I would still love to see Sunset pay in the canon story.
11670478
11670547
Exactly! This is the exact problem that I was talking about.
11670763
Well when there’s an episode where Sunset can be wrong I can make it happen. Any ideas.
11670808
Not that I know of, on which specific episode is "perfect" for Sunset to have no real good answer/argument for once.
Because you're basically turning Sunset into Sherlock freaking Holmes/Detective Basil of Baker Street by now on always being right, and a know-it-all.
And I have to have the high IQ of infamous arch nemesis; Moriarty/Ratigan to finally have Sunset being wrong for once.
11670822
No I gave Sunset something that is missing from many shows both live and animated. I gave her common sense. Like instead of running in a straight line when something is rolling towards her, she runs sideways or just jump to the side.
11670874
Alright. But still, I don't know a good scenario or which specific episode where Sunset is actually in the wrong for once, despite her common sense.
Maybe the other commoners like MPony1 could suggest something?
True. Twilight is kinda a puppet with no mind of her own when it comes to Celestia.

I blame both
