This story is a side story for Isolation: a Changelings heart, told in the Perspective of Pliskin and his escapades in Equestria. I would suggest reading the first two chapters of the above mentioned story if you want a little context, otherwise, enjoy!

It all started with an exam, which lead to a rescue mission, a mission that caught the eyes to the Princesses and lead to him being inducted into the Lunar guard and acts as a spy for them.

He got more then what he bargained for when he winds up entangled in a web of lies, deceit, and love. He isn't so sure about the last part though... Hanging out with ponies 24/7 can do a lot of things to the mind of a young changeling.

Featuring Pun Pony and Agent 707 from the AskPun blog.

Isolation: a Changeling's heart is written by Me.

This story is not related to Kari's Magic Gear fan-fiction, also found on this site.

Hmm. You didn't hyperlink it, you didn't tell me who wrote it, and it's not in the sidebar... Nahh, too much work. I'll just read neither and grab one of the stories from the Similar sidebar instead.

Seriously, though, as someone who wants stories to succeed or fail on their own merits rather than technicalities, let me say that Rule #1 of that sort of thing is to provide a hyperlink, either using the [url= bbcode tag or by marking your story as a sequel to it so the site will provide a link for you.

When you post something online, you're competing with people all over the world for scarce attention, so you need to smooth out as many obstacles to them giving your story a try as possible and give the best possible first impression.

6444464 I thank you for being the first person to comment on my story and have taken your advise into consideration. In fact, I have linked everything that I felt should be linked.

If you don't mind me asking, how did you find my story, and what do you think of it so far?

I still don't see any links to to Isolation: a Changeling's heart. Did you accidentally leave your changes in some kind of "drafts" buffer?

I'm subscribed to the "Who needs ponies? We got Changelings!!!" group and I'm waiting for the link to Isolation before I read this. (You could say that I'm taking your suggestion very strongly.)

6446538 Great... It didn't save the changes. thanks for bringing that up. I'll fix that right now.

Edited: The link is up and it works. Just click the name of the story, it'll be there.

Yep. It saved this time. :)

Given that I'll want to go all the way back to I Am Her Servant and read from the beginning, I'm not sure how long it'll be before I can give an opinion on this fic, but I'll let you know when I do.

However, as someone whose chosen profession is user interface design, I do have one more piece of advice. Hyperlinks aren't supposed to be placed on words like "here" because that muddles the meaning for screen readers and search engines. (The screen reader will say "here" instead of the fic's name if the disabled person asks for a list of links and the search engine will count the link as evidence that "here" is what the page you linked to is about.)

It also doesn't help that, with the size, placement, and colour of the word "here" on my screen, it's easy to miss that it's a hyperlink.

This is the way HTML's supposed to be used according to the people who maintain and extend the standard:

6447540 I understand. I'm actually new to Fimfiction... As if that wasn't obvious, so it's nice when people actually take the time to explain things. Also... Isolation actually has a comment from the author of I am her servant, Arreis of Avalon. It's awesome to be noticed by original authors.

Agreed. :)

6448314 Oh yeah, I should also mention that I am almost done with the second chapter of this Fic, so it'll be uploaded shortly. Anyway, thanks for commenting and stuff, it's appreciated.

So a side story of a side story?

Yeah... I have much to do with this story, but as it stands, there are other things I want to do. XD
