See, between two species in the same genus, it's actually pretty damn easy (ligers, mules). Between two genera in the same family, harder but still doable (pumapards). Between two families? Unheard of. Between two orders is right out!

They're basically magical in of themselves. They HAVE to be, given that they routinely break the limits of biology and/or physics without casting any spells. Pegasi in particular are quite blatant about this, what with their ability to walk on clouds, manipulate the weather and last, but certainly not least, being able to fly at all.

Their wing size compared to their body mass is ridiculously small, they literally should not be able to fly. At their apparent size/weight, unless they're filled with helium or something, they'd need wings at least twice the size they got now, possibly three times as large...

It might even be that it isn't an ability inherent to any particular species, but rather it's an aspect of the very reality they live in. The laws of nature are pretty damn flexible in Equestria, after all.

Magic is completely impossible in our world, but not in theirs... So yeah, I'm guessing just about anything could be possible. As you mentioned, they have Gryphons. And Manticores. And Cockatrices. They're all hybrid creatures, so hybrids are not without precedent.

Despite my dislike of blank slate OCs(which are primarily used because it allows the reader to put themselves in the blank slate's position which ANY writer knows this is a sure fire way to lure in a ton of readers. aka: lazy method of writing a character.) I attempted to shove those prejudices aside and give this story a shot.

The following displays my reaction upon(somehow) managing to finish the chapter without tearing my eyes out:

This entire chapter made me facepalm so many times I think I have an imprint of my palm on my head!

I'm brutally honest but fair when I type out a review. After all, if I shower you with "OMG THIS IS AWESOME!" or "OMG! THIS IS HORRIBLE!" and don't provide any meaningful input, how are you going to improve as a writer?

I've been writing for 10+ years now and let me tell you, my grammar and spelling STILL is bad. No where even close as to as bad as it was when I wrote my first story mind you but still, at the very least, most of my grammar and spelling mistakes are overlooked by my readers because they love my stories.

I haven't read any of your other stories yet but I just might though granted, a lot of them look like 2nd person stories which makes me wanna run screaming.

I would suggest reading others fanfiction on this site, not only to research the different methods to writing a good plotline but also to get a better understanding on how to write 3rd person fanfiction. Heck, you could even do a first person fanfic based on what I've seen but you need to improve on being able to create a stable plotline first.

Not to bash you or anything, but from reading the first several paragraphs, I saw many
obvious mistakes. Here's just one:

"Do we have to?" she moves closer to you and curls into your chest, letting out a content sigh as she revels in the feeling of your smooth skin across her fur.

"she" should be capitalized since it's the start of a new sentence and dialogue has ended. I wouldn't take grammar advice from some who can't spell "straight" correctly.
