So many beautiful moments. Trixie reconciling her act and personality with the expectations of society. Twilight using her Princess authority to exonerate Trixie, and clearly not expecting anything more to come of it. The implication of no less than FOUR "Twilight goes insane" strategies for the Royal Guard (which is probably way more than they have for their actual enemies). But this was the best:
Opening it he saw a picture of an adolescent version of himself in a tuxedo standing alone at Celestia's School for Gifted Unicorns New Year's Eve Formal a decade past. A lone tear fell down his cheek, but he wiped it away angrily. "And now we shall settle old scores, Mutant Princess Nerdpony," he whispered darkly.
God, you could found an entire other fanfic series on that line alone
6015928 And Filthy is deeply in denial about his daughter 's innocence, right?
At this point, Celestia and Luna must believe Trixie has: - almost enslaved Ponyville via dark magic. -gathered top secret information about the Princesses ' past missdeeds and divulgued it among the public, specially the young ones. -initiated seduction stepts toward Big Mac, Luna's closest friend and potential lover. -swayed Princess Twilight to her cause.
So they may consider her a dangerous, impredictable, diabolical , rebel mastermind rather than... well, Trixie
I remember when Mr. Burns thought the same of Homer during the strike in the Nuclear Plant.
6020307 This is while she was under the effects of the Alicorn Amulet. I don't really like the interpretation, but the episode made it clear that it was driving her well past what she would normally do.
That said, yes. Twilight is a big softie. There's a reason Spike was face-palming
6015928 In other words, she was luring Diamond Tiara with candy to,maybe, put a scare in her, and Filthy Rich thinks that Trixie was trying to kidnap his daughter and wants her punished for it? And now, Blueblood, as Captain of the Royal Guard (how the hell did that happen?), sent whatever troops he could to see to it that Trixie will be put on trail...by force, if necessary. Plus, with Luna missing, things just keep getting worse for Trixie. Looks like Trixie is going to be judged in Canterlot after all.
Well, the reason Trixie was about to teach a lesson to Diamond is because her bullying on Applebloom. Everyone in the school ( and probably the entire town) knows how nasty and spoiled she is, but Filthy himself .
As I've mentioned before your version of Trixie is brilliantly on spot yet likable, which is really something for a character I hate. I love how these plots are thickening, but what I like the most is that from one chapter to the next you manage to surprise me. How to put it... the joke is that Trixie always manages to screw up in some way that makes things far worse and are misunderstood by everyone (including Trixie herself) but you always take it a way off the rails that I didn't expect. It transcends the usual hum-drum sitcom 'humor' that this could have been. Thank you for writing this. I may have to look into getting a 'Patreon' (the whatever hell that is) so that I support the continuation of this story.
6021652 Let me rephrase. Out of all the other guards in that castle, why was Blueblood, who probably avoids the mess hall because of its name, made interim Captain of the Royal Guards? I'm sure one of the others would have been more qualified.
6023050 Because he's a prince and he's important and already has authority and the Equestrian equivalent of a security clearance and Celestia would rather keep him busy and responsible for something instead of giving him enough idle time to get into trouble.
I'm also assuming that he has some degree of competence at leadership and administration. Since really all we know canonically is that he was a stuck up dick at a boring party and that there's a limit to how bad he can be since Celestia hasn't already stopped inviting him to important events like the Equestria Games.
6023500 That's a brilliant idea, he's important enough that Celestia gives him a more important seat than she gives say, Fancypants at the Equestrian Games, but we never see her around him, so she probably can't stand him. "Annoying but competent and best kept busy" does sound like a likely description for Blueblood. I do hope we hear more of the story of Twilight blowing off awkward teenage Blueblood to study.
6027403 I can definitely see Blueblood shutting down a mare not only because she comes off as a false golddigger, but because he's childhood friends with Spike. Drakes before Fakes and all that.
Well things seem to have escalated somewhat.

Trixie being Trixie. Which in this case bears a remarkable resemblance to a creepy stranger luring foals to their wagon with promises of candy
Bwhahahahaha!
Family guy lol

They have close to a dozen. This is just one of their all purpose ones until they know more

6017283 Don't you mean in denial of Diamond doing anything to instigate this situation?

The previous Captain bagged himself a Princess and is consequentially unavailable. Someone had to be interim captain while a replacement is selected.

6027343 My favorite interpretation is that he's tolerable normally but was playing up the dickishness at the Gala because he gets tired of golddiggers
And also possibly scaring Rarity off as a favor to Spike
6027403 I can definitely see Blueblood shutting down a mare not only because she comes off as a false golddigger, but because he's childhood friends with Spike. Drakes before Fakes and all that.
6027456 Bronies before ponies
I feel like this story has way more plot than a premise like this deserves, but I love it for that.

"Plot"
6049539 Yeah, yeah. I get the joke, though I didn't make it intentionally.
At least FOUR plans for Twilight going insane?
Why am I not surprised they have a Twilight goes insane act on standby?
