Everypony knows the story of how the Alicorn sisters defeated Discord with the Elements of Harmony. Though the Elements themselves are a mystery to most – where did they come from? And how were they made?
Twilight Sparkle, now a Princess of Equestria, realises that the information available on the Elements is out of date and takes it upon herself to rectify this matter. After all, the future of Equestria may depend on an accurate source of data that concerns one of its most powerful means of defence.
This story is the hidden history of the Elements.

Hmm well if you wanted to know you could have asked me.
Long ago before ponies came to equestria,
There were only changelings,
Over time us changelings grew tired of our base forms,
and decided to change into various different creatures.
And for many years there was piece.
For no matter our shapes or sizes,
all changelings were united under our love of muffins.
And at the peak of our civilisation was the all powerfull,
McGuffin Muffin.
However this peace would not last,
For one day a mysterious creature came to equestria,
Unlike the peacefull changlings he was a being of pure evil.
We called this monster The Muffin Man.....
He stole away our precious muffins and attempted to take the McGuffin Muffin for himself.
In our desperation we split the McGuffin Muffin into 6 pieces,
And with them the brave elements of muffinosity
Basnished The Muffin Man to another dimention,
All was at peace once more... or so it seemed....
However like the McGuffin Muffin itself, the changelings split apart,
With each branch of changeling taking on different forms,
and spreading out across the world.
After several thousand years, the history of the now oddly named,
Elements Of Harmony, was lost forever, and the changelings themselves,
Just a long forgotten memory.
