Ghost Lights project post-mortem, and some new things coming... · 3:59am Sep 20th, 2015
Dear Princess Celestia,
During this massive 40-week long project, I learned that...
No, seriously. I did learn things, a lot of them.

With Chapter 17, 'The Witless' is officially over. I have to say, this story was to date my most difficult but also my most fun to make, that even necessitated bringing in a second editor to properly deliver the quality I was hoping to bring. Long story short, writing it was a blast and a great learning experience, and even if it won't reach any top-ranks, I'm satisfied with all that we have done and I'm happy the story is finally finished.
Ah, airships, majestic means of transportation with an undeniably fantasy vibe to them, perhaps for the very reason they're so outdated and frivolous. Also a great source of arguments on a certain website.
How the heck does a random angst fic I wrote, 2 years out of experience, half-asleep, manage to make it 3rd in the featured list? I am astonished.
Well, it's all thanks to you guys giving it the time of day, so thank you immensely! I really expected Post Mortem to just fade in and out of memory.
I have done. I have managed to avoid drowning...
... in my own words! Woot!
me rn
In a word... whew! I Just want it known that I put on one hell of a push for this, folks, but for as easy as it came, it was joy to do. When your muse is fully engaged, writing becomes fun. Admittedly, having the flu helped, since it meant I could spend working hours on it, and I sure as hell needed the distraction.
I’ve never done a post-mortem for a fic, but I’ve also never finished a fic of this magnitude so!! Welcome to an overly in-depth review of my experience making The Twilight Effect and all the complications that came with it. Contains spoilers ofc—go read the fic first if you haven’t! And once you’re ready I’ll see you under the cut.
Maybe I can NOT play Overwatch for a while...
If you are now, or where at some point, a service man or woman, I salute you for all that you do to make the US safe and allow us to enjoy the freedoms we do. Also, big thanks for giving me the day off to catch up on some stuff.
Stay classy.
Alright, in my last post I mentioned not having as much time to write. Well, I had absolutely no idea what to expect from this school, and I figured I would be spending every waking moment buried in my homework. I was fortunately mistaken, and since my parents wouldn't let me bring my xbox, I also have less distractions keeping me from writing. Again, none of you care about the personal stuff, so I'll be skipping to the fun part.
